hello,
can anybody allay my deep anxiety?
i'm close to selling my ESI2000 sampler and 01V mixer to finance an upgrade to PulsarII plus A16 ultra.
my hope is that i'll be able to replace the 01V with A16->PulsarMixer and the ESI2000 with STS3000. i'm tempted by all the creamware advantages (esp. high sound quality, and space-saving) .
however, a recent look at somebody's system got me worried about the required DSP.
does anyone know:: will a single pulsarII card running on a >1GHz PC have enough power to run a realtime A16->PulsarMixer combo simultaneously with a fully loaded STS3000?
if yes, is there any chance that i'd have spare DSP for some basic reverb, chorus, and delay busses, maybe some insert effects?
getting twitchy... if one card doesn't have the grunt i'm prolly better off keeping the sampler + 01V.
