Why? Intel chipsets are the best around, and if you're going Intel, it's a no-brainer to pair it with the chipset designed by the CPU maker. Both ASUS P4B266 or ASUS P4TE if you're considering P4 are <i>excellent</i> choices.

Well, I just bought a motherboard with that chipset from ECS(K7S5A) and so far, it's WAY better than my previous KT7 with the VIA chipset from ABIT(wich gave up on me a few days ago). Most benchmarks on the net shows that it's better than VIA and AMD's chipsets in most performance tests but, most of those are aimed at gamers. Since gaming requires more AGP throughput than PCI, that doesn't mean much for us.
I'll do a clean install and some tweaking this weakend to see what I can get out of it.
