Xite Wordclock

As I've posted here before, for some unknown reason the wordclock seems to be working on my Xite when it apparently doesn't on other people's Xite's. About a month ago I started having problems with mine for no reason what-so-ever.
So to counter the problem I close Scope and re- run the installer and the BNC syncs to a master external clock and works fine.......again
Except: (as of recently) If I close Scope and open it up again the problem appears again and will not sync to the external BNC but will sync to ADAT.

So here are some of the troubleshooting steps I've taken:
After running the installer I copied the ScopeApp folder to a new location and would copy the folder back to it's original location after the problem appeared. Then I went through each file individually and copied each back into the original folder until I located the guilty party.
Lo and behold, it turns out to be the "appearance" file that is being corrupted when I close Scope.

Furthermore:
When I re-run the installer and open Scope up afterwards. Scope will initially sync to external BNC as slave and I can close and re-open.....PROVIDED I do not alter the sizing of the Routing Window.

So if anyone with an external BNC master clock and an Xite wants to try running the installer and check to see if it works (don't alter the Routing Window), perhaps we can provide Holger with some useful info.
(of course perhaps he already did fix it in Scope 8)

Windows 11 64bit Scope 7 Xite-1

Interesting observations !

OTOH, I don´t tinker with that since I knew it also worked w/ sync to AES as a slave.
My BNC WC-outputs are limited anyway,- I can only use 6 up to 48Khz or 3 w/ 96KHz.
But my MC has AES I/Os too, so that was welcome for XITE-1.

Nonetheless, it would be great when the BNC sync issue will be fixed in SCOPE-8 (x64).
It should have been on S|C´s list,- so I´ll wait for SCOPE release.

Works,- when in good condition.

Rosendahl made very reliable gear.
I still own a Nuendo Timelock Pro which is in fact also a Rosendahl unit,- and it works together w/ my Nuendo 9652 (RME Hammerfall 9652) and Nuendo 8 I/O (RME 8 I/O) AD/DA combo for WinXP machines.

I dunno what makes such gear unusable except the typical PSU (caps) failure caused by age and if that ever will come up in future.
I still do inhouse repairs and service as long as I can and w/ help of techs being friends.
I bought tools to do so,- just because there´s no pro service in my area.
I didn´t regret because "pro service" doesn´t mean it´s good.
In most cases in regards of old(er) gear, they pass because it´s too time consuming to find parts and/or investigating the fault.

Anyway ...

When you plan to buy something new,- Mutec MC devices are a good choice.
There are several/ different ones for different needs.
