Pareiq - 1-8 band PEQ

Post by soren_jepsen »

So...Denmark is shutting down again - fucking Corona... As there's nothing left in my nose by now, I might as well post an early christmas present :)

Nothing new soundwize though, just 1-8 band parametric EQ with a curve interface - peak, shelf and cut (cuts with 2 or 4 pole) + a couple of tools.

I've wanted to do this for quite some time, but the curve has been a stumbling block - it messes up in several ways, and consequntly there's quite a bit of problem solving going on in the background. I believe there's a newer curve hidden in Scope, but I've yet to figure it out. It *should* be possible to get it to "play ball", demonstrated by the SC ~X mixers.

Anyway, the filters are dynamic - only active filters are loaded on DSP. I haven't tested it, but I *think* it should run all the way back to Scope4. I'm NOT a graphics guy (just a poor musician and music teacher). The interface may be a tad dark.........request are......considered  Install as usual - let me know if you don't know what that means.

If you find a bug - you broke it (nah - just let me know  )

Merry christmas - take care of each other out there!
/Søren

I am not an EQ guy so with the probability of making the sound worse, I usually just leave it alone.
Last night I was trying this EQ out for the first time and there was a noticeable increase to the clarity of the sound. (just piano playing)
I doubt that luck would have me accidently dialing in the precise settings to achieve this, so my conclusion is:
This is a P.F.M. device (pure f**king magic)

A real top notch device that Soren has created for us!
