It's got rockish (AND definitely corny) riffs, but it also uses tb style sounds. I dunno Bobby, but what's da never it is, it gots to be hard core!
So I was getting the movie score ready, and at the same time, preparing for a club event. The organizers wanted house. So they got a couple. But in that mixed bag, they got THIS. Boy did a put a good frown on their face. But I went ahead and used this song anyway. Ha! Frown ya organizers! Think you're so good? Bet ya can't compose! Heeee heee. Talent beats POWER!!! Har har har.
It's a bit long by the way... like 10 minutes. But it'll keep ya listening. Partially because it's like a bunch of mini songs smashed into one. I think I'm getting the hang of this on the 4 hardcore mambo jambo... or am I? Tell me what ya think.

Ouch! that musta hurt!
Seriously, I can imagine you prancing round the studio.
I'm getting more and more into sampling and this is the type of stuff I work with.(Mind you, my son has a lot to do with it as he hates most of the music I do)
You do know how to mix a song, Ken.
Great job, as always.

I like the building up as it goes, sounds are very well balanced indeed and very well chosen to my experience.
I'm missing some refreshment in the harmony from half of the song and on, I would like the song to move somewhere else harmonically.
How did you achieve this kind of hyper stereo effect on the bass line? It seems to cross speakers smoothly from one side to the other.
The mix, impeccable Ken

Heeey! thanx, I'm honored! anybody up for remixes?? And yeah, frankly, I wanted to go harmonious with this but heck, the sound was just too damn dirty to make harmonious! hehe

Are you serious? No really, I mean it.
This is everything that's wrong with music, One chord, one tempo, one dynamic and no feeling.
There is one thing though, if you did add feeling then it wouldn't have the 'hardcore' aesthetic. But is that good?
Robert
And hear the pleasant cuckoo, loud and long,
The simple bird that thinks two notes a song.

Youch! Oh well, I guess it wasn't such a big hit then.

Maybe I'll do better next time. But dude.. let's keep the crisizm sounding a bit more constructive.

Hi Ken,
I like this song. Things I would change: I'd make it shorter and even more energetic by getting the calmer parts out. You got some freak sounds, ie. 5:25 goes real cool! Also around 7:00, but then it goes quieter again. around 8:00 the same happens, you seem to go quieter again. Don't, keep the energy up! Maybe some clap/snare or other percussion reïnformcement could even bring more power.
Have you tried Neutron7's harmonic disto yet?
!go loco motive!

This music is really nice. You ought to get a virus or a micro q. Pulsar synths don't measure up IMHO.
I love it for sampling and I use the Pulsar mixing board. If I had tons of money I wouldn't use the pulsar at all though except for sampling.

Atomic.. yer right. hehe, you can tell I'm trying sooo hard to be tough and macho. I guess it's better to show contrast so the tough parts stand out more. :>
Braincell, I'm seriously thinking of the Q. I don't really do hardcore stuff too often, but the Q does have marvelous sounds. Sometimes I want gritty basses.. but just don't feel like getting everything set up in Pulsar. But also want a Nord Electro.. OH if I only had the cash! Arrrgh!
Thanx guys, for takin' your time to listen to my stuff.
