Yesterday my 256mb SDRAM chip blew up (started getting page faults & blue screens all the time) so I was left with only 128mb's of RAM on Win XP.

I was amazed how smoothly Sonar and Pulsar still ran, it was like there was no difference at all between 128mb and 384mb, although I don't use very long audio tracks, only samples and loops in Sonar.

Then I tried a simple task like opening a website in IE and suddenly XP started swapping memory to HD like hell and it took a day to open. Same thing with Outlook Express.

So go figure which companies are the best ones optimizing their code among those three. :grin:D
