Wondering if something like this can be mimicked in Scope.

I just watched a bit, but I don't think this is possible in Scope...

NI Reaktor is plenty of this kind of stuff (and that one in the video is IMO a very basic patch but with a very good planned interface and controller).
I made a similar sampler messing around with Clavia Nord Modular II keyboard ages ago.
I guess that in Scope enviroment realtime sampling and mangling would be a little difficult to do if not impossible.

impossible imo, at least with the tools we have with modular. you need a memory buffer module with modulated start/end points.

Grain Science and Borderlands apps do this on iOS....
But I doubt any Scope device can do this.

Edit: Samplr is great at this well ( and probably does more in some aspects)

it's pretty much what Jordan Rudess introduced in his SampleWiz App 4 years ago...
here's a nice comparison by Rudess himself pointing out similiarities and differences beween his own app and SamplR, which has a similiar target
SamplR is (intentionally) non-midi and uses the vertical axis for volume
it can record screen actions on the waveform as a kind of tactile sequencer, which often superceeds Midi
this one shows what it can do from a steady beat and a vocal sample
(iirc most aspects of the app are covered)

SampleWiz puts pitch on vertical axis and has classical Midi sampling support - as you'd expect from Jordan...
both apps together are less than 20 bucks... no-brainer

imo both are perfect companions for Scope
iPads are cheapo today... considering their power ;)
Apple makes an aweful amount of cash with IOS devices from iPod, Phones, Pads and supplies excellent tools
revenues generated by music applications (non-consuming) are probably less than 0.01%
that may look different in their advertizing, but the click rates of videos like the ones above tell a different story

all that stuff is just tools in the sound founrdy - and Scope makes integration particularily easy

cheers, Tom

well it's the interface that's really the key here. Performing live has everything to do with how you interact with the instrument.
In this instance though I would echo what's already been mentioned. Grab an ipad or two and you've got all the options you'd ever really need other than a very very large screen. Borderlands is a really cool app.

You can do it with Kontakt, Reaktor, Falcon which has a granular sample player developed by IRCAM -> excellent and you can modulate the length, start, loop, fade of the grains, as in the video.

A.) There is the Adern's Flexor III, Granular Delay module. I think it could be used for something similar.

B.) Fabulous Vibes from Vienna! Begin wtih Modular, and add this: http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic. ... 33#p316933

I have little time at the moment, but using tgstgs' module to create a device like this might be the first thing I do.

hey you're right actually, with the granular delay you can sorta do it! it won't have the visual feedback part but otherwise i can see it
