It's not really new. But most people probably don't know that it has 2 extra MIDI ports!

Indeed. It's good if you're sending a lot of messages to have separate ports.

I don't have the time to build this... So here's the pinout (not fully tested).

Hopefully someone can build it and let me know. I am looking at my handwritten notes.

All you need is a 3$ motherboard to LPT port plate. about 6$ worth of female 5 pin DIN connectors. 3$ DB25 male connector with with a case. Oh and an old MIDI cable. I have a few too many.

MIDI IN 1:
DB25 pin 14 -> MIDI pin 5
DB25 pin 1 -> MIDI pin 4

MIDI IN 2:
DB25 pin 18 -> MIDI pin 5
DB25 pin 4 -> MIDI pin 4

MIDI THRU 1
DB25 pin 3 -> MIDI pin 4
DB25 pin 17 -> MIDI pin 5
Shield -> MIDI pin 2

MIDI THRU 2:
DB25 pin 6 -> MIDI pin 4
DB25 pin 20 -> MIDI pin 5
Shield -> MIDI pin 2

MIDI OUT 1
DB25 pin 3 -> MIDI pin 4
DB25 pin 16 -> MIDI pin 5
Shield -> MIDI pin 2

MIDI OUT 2:
DB25 pin 6 -> MIDI pin 4
DB25 pin 19 -> MIDI pin 5
Shield -> MIDI pin 2

NOTE:

I believe proper Shield/GND connection is necessary if you're gonna be chaining MIDI devices.

Sidenote:
I am doing some research and will probably be getting rid of my complete Scope system, but that's another topic. All I need for now is an audio interface. If I want the real thing, I will save up and get the real thing. Now my memory is coming back why I sold my card for cheap over 10 years ago. And, in 10 years Scope has not changed.

BTW:

Pretty sure those are the right connections. I only make mistakes once a week :lol:

Cheers,
