Hi guys

Are there any Echoplex plugins on the Scope platform?

Thanks

sure. the dNa Tape Echo is super cool. so is Celmo's Tape Echo. i'd say the dNa is closest to an Echoplex.

dNa can cover many delays.
The modulation options and insert make it easy to throw RoyTs crossover into it
to emulate hardware using different filters for tailoring the audio more precisely.
Great plug in.

:-? aren't you mixing up optimus prime and tape echo? I can't find any inserts/modulations on this device, and I seem to have the latest version.

on a side note: I had the chance to play a real old binson last weeks... :D scope is nice, but...

Yes I did mix it up.
But it still can cover lots of ground.

Binson hardware....wow.
Please make some snippets.
Love hardware.
Actually Scope has become a Modular and mixing tool for me.
Every month I am adding more hardware again.

Well, it´s all relative !

I owned a Binson Echorec PE 603 for a long time.
It was a service nightmare,- alone adjusting the magnetic disc all the time !
It was very sensitive on transport and I gigged always.
Decades ago, there was the last old guy who worked in the manufacturing company and being able to service a Echorec from ground up.
He died.
It´s insane what a used and halfway working Binson Echorec costs @ebay today.
That said, I´m very happy I don´t have to do anything anymore w/ mechanical echo machines, disc or tape and I don´t regret I sold ´em all.

My Digitech Studio 400 makes a good tape echo effect and even my cheapo TC Electronics M350 sounds good enough for every music.
My Yammi D1500 digital modulation delay sounds good enough too.
The Echoplex emulation in a Kurzweil PC3 keyboard is excellent.

Bud I know you dig the real deals still.
I dig anything that sounds good in Native, DSP or hardware.
But do yourself a favor if you ever see a TC Fireworx for cheap in Deutschland, BUY IT...

It's great for keys, Guitars even Bass and certain drums if mic'd properly.
But for Vocals it's a 1 stop mastering tool from Hell.

I use a Voice Tripler, followed by a Plate reverb fed into a Dual Delay.
Just one of many FX you can store as a preset.
But what's really cool is most of the time for vocals the Voice thickener (dry voice + dual Pitch shifter =100/+75) is just left on, and muted in between songs.
But in real time I slide up the Reverb and Delay when the effect is needed, or just reverb.
This is my favorite piece of hardware since it has not only basic FX, but reverse delays, filters, wah-wahs, distorted mangled voices.
I even do the Computer voice talking to Matthew Broderick from the movie War Games.
"Hello Professor.....would you like to play a game."

Really top shelf stuff and using ADAT makes this unit a must have.
Used for 400 on ebay.

Looks like you got what you want, but if ever getting the itch for more, this one will make you smile on the first preset.

Added some Tape Delay to Dynatube and it gave it some more "space". There's some Early Reflections in there too.
It starts off dry. On the second loop I switch it on and off and you can hear the space get lost.

Really nice plugin.

Thx !
After reading your post I investigated a bit and it seems it´s one of TC´s pieces of gear I ignored in the past because I thought they were for guitar players only.

I was a big TC fan in the analogue times already and used their chorus/flanger, 12 stage phaser and overdrive stomp boxes as well as their rackmount 1140 preamp/parametric EQ.

Fireworx could be a cool addition to XITE-1 because there´s AES/EBU and ADAT connectivity, there´s modularity as well and it does special FX I won´t find in SCOPE stock devices and eventually save ressources when projects become bigger.
Otherwise I´m satisfied w/ SCOPE 5.1 stock FX too,- but the excellent ones also want their DSP !

The TC M350, I buyed shortly for 99,- and like new in orig. box.
I wanted something just only for my Rhodes MK80 which internally has an analogue FX board offering cool Roland type stereo phaser, chorus and tremolo, but lacks delay and reverb.
The TC M350 sounds good for that purpose.

:)

Cool demo !

Do the Dynatubes run well on XITE-1 or do they work better on the PCI cards ?

Very well in PCI here. I don't have X-ite. I just tried them to compare to Amplitube and BIAS on IPad and they're quite good. The Marshall emulation in the Demo can be quite shrill but I guess you can roll off the highs on the input. Not bad emulations at all.

Will try some other stuff with the tape echo to compare it and I will post it.

I have the Dynatube Bass collection, and it works just fine on XITE. There is a limit to 48kHz, since internally it doubles the frequency to 96kHz.

I imagine the Guitar amps work just as well.
