Connecting G5 optical out to Pulsar 2 SPDIF

Hey there!

Is it safe to connect the optical audio out of a G5 to the SPDIF input of a Pulsar 2 connected in a PC? Of course, I would use the correct adapters. Both computers are plugged into the same wall outlet but I am concerned about some going electrically bad...

yes, it should be fine.
it's good if both machines have the same ground, but that doesn't even enter into the equation if one machine is using optical i/o.
