Hello, I have a question which is directed to Garyb.

I just got a couple of cards off eBay to add to my S|C family.
One 6dsp and one 15dsp Srb.
I would like to know if I install an in/out card, which I have laying around, on the 15dsp Srb, will the card become usable on its own?
Can I then obtain keys for it with 4.5 software for example.
I have other cards with 5.1 and all plugs, but I would only need the basic devs like mixers and fx just for routing and mixing for the 15dsp Srb.
Is there a fee to make the card a normal working card?

The 6dsp card came with 4.5 software and the sts sample collection cd as well so that card will go in another PC.
I'm going to use my cards to enlarge my PC farm using older pc's and route audio I/O
while connecting midi with copperlan throughout.
Copperlan is an amazing concept and works great!
I have been using copperlan for about 2 years now without a hitch!

yes, you can get keys for v4 and yes, it's just a normal card if you put the i/o plate on it. no, there's no fee involved.
