Is there a difference in the Recording quality Between VDAT And the Software sequencer (cubase)
Never use the VDAT....Am I missing something ?

well, VDAT is better sounding for sure, but it's not as user friendly as the sequencer. basically, VDAT is a virtual ADAT machine and it suffers from the same editing problems as the old tape machine. if you are just going to record and mix without editing, VDAT is the best choice.

From what I have read here on planetZ yes it's better to vdat! I will be testing this soon and doing comparisons

I tried to record ... and it has recorded eight channel separate?
I want to record one stereo channel...How I do it?

It receives a separate signal ...And recording separate channels...

How do I record only the mix from the mixer??

as i said, VDAT is a virtual ADAT machine. it's almost EXACTLY an ADAT machine. ADATs don't record stereo. to record stereo, you'd need two mono channels, but then they'd need to be interleaved in another program.

I mean ... other software it Through Export ...That's why I ask?

Currently I'm recording in real time my mixes...I come back From the STS mixer in another New channel in cubase ... and just recording all the mix...

it might be a little better to use VDAT, but i don't know if the trouble is worth the results. you'll have to hear it and make your own decision...
