as i have a load of x86 programs that load as x86 on windows 64bit osc in the x86 folder

has any one tried to use the 32bit software of scope

before i have a go and see what happens as all the problems seem to be related to 64bit drivers and os

my x86 programs in win7 64bit work just like they did in the x86 32bit os and win732bit on both of my scope rigs

i was going to install one of my spare cards in my sons 64bit comp for testing

I think it's worth the try. The big question is how hardware memory spaces are limited (and the PCIe card accessing memory). The software piece is pretty well contained by the OS.

the software by itself would run fine, if the hardware properly communicated with the computer that way, which it won't, as far as i know. otherwise, why even make a 64bit version?

thats the question im asking as some things still work as 32bit programs in the 64bit os as x86

and why i asked if any one has tried it as an x86 program

if not then i will be the tester of seeing if it will work

just to see what happens out of curiosity

if its already been tested i wont bother as the answer is already known

try it.
something might work...

i don't see what the advantage would be. the STS still won't work any better.
