Fair play Dante, great stuff!
Couple of typo's, if I may.
"integerate" at 0:29 should be "integrate"
"thier" at 2:03 should be "their"
"Master of Master Chains" at 2:13 - did you mean "Mixer/mixdown of Mastering Chains"?
Not sure if "ironically" has the right connotations for the DAS reverb note at 3:20. You can just omit that word I think.
Also, you don't talk about Modular so much. And zero latency.
I think you could probably say that the quality of devices often surpasses that of their VST counterparts?
And it's probably worth mentioning how much free stuff you get from S|C, and the amount of stuff available from third parties and free from the community. Just a rough number of each maybe.
Nice way to end it, with the question. Maybe flash S|C, Scope and their website up at the end?
Cheers, Eanna

Good work, but you can probably easily improve it a lot. It would be good with a higher resolution both in the visuals and in the audio. The picture is very blurred giving the impression that this is old stuff. The sound on youtube is severely damaged compared to soundcloud. Try uploading with the highest quality possible. Youtube will degrade it anyway, so you might as well give them a good starting point.

Good points, some of the typos I had noted already. The video quality not sure how to fix I deliberately turned down the contr ast on the background vid so the titles could be readable. Maybe I have to try HD on the cam, but the rendering is very slow as it is. Maybe coz I'm only using MAGIX Movie Edit 2013 not a pro software.

MEP will render HD no problem. Just let it run.
I use an older machine (former DAW) to do offline renders.

Please note modified URL. I fixed some of the typos and re-uploaded. Will do some of the other suggestions as time allows.
I notice youtube (unlike soundcloud) will not let you 'replace' a file. You have to delete the old one (loosing all play counts, tags and details) and re-upload from scratch.
Better get it right before linking ! LOL !
I'm intending start another topic about making music vids once you have a great track produced in Scope. Some hints needed and would make a good ScopeRise topic.

Once you get the higher-quality HD worked out, I recommend using Vimeo instead of YouTube.
Better quality codecs for streaming HD vids IMO.

Thanks Ill try that. My Sony DCR-SR46 has no DV input. So no direct connect to pc vid out. It has 3 modes HQ, LP and SP - it was set to SP so Ill try HQ.
Either that or find a better screen cap app.

great production, but the sounds themselves are sort of dated.. or "classic" is a better way to put it. I can imagine a more breakbeat approach to a similar bassline / progression, but that too is already sort of dated since it seems like it's either dubstep or die these days.
But anyway, let's take away the "dated or not" part and speaking solely of production impact, I think the tune could use some more bells and whistles type effects.. nothing too crazy, just sound effecty things like electric buzzing on the trail of the canonical orch hit. (which should be replaced with something else since orch hits have already been... well, over done) Even swapping the lead with something with a bit more character would help define the tune a bit better.
The progression as is could be beefed with some symphonic sounds (like powerful, dark horns) to push it in a military epic direction, swap the drums with heavily mangled electro drums, overlay with some barrel drums and anvil hits. Swells here and there with brass blares padded with mallet cymbals, thunder sheets or gongs to accompany hits, and you've got a dynamic soundtrack. Marching toms to emphasize 16ths here and there will build up tension too. The blaring brass and distorted leads building on each other would make for hair raising treble harmonics.

I would say classic, since I wrote the thing using mainly only the sounds from a DX7 and a DB50XG tone generator (daughterboard) in the mid 90's, based on 80's sounds. This remix was basically about beefing up with Scope synths and the VST drums and bass. I was deliberately after a minimoog type sound for the leads.
Yours are good suggestions for a modernized V2 though. The symphonic military epic direction I could relate to, maybe even with kettle drums for a more star-wars'ish production. Anvil hits is something I've been meaning to get into for sure, since I love the Terminator soundtracks.

ahh, it makes sense then. Written in the 90s! Of course. Then it's a gem that's survived the times. lol.

For version 2, I can hear some of your voice-overs depicting a battle between the digital audio factions

Something like this:

I sort of did it from memory so I might have played your line wrong, but anyway. In a classical Hunt for Red October style symphony spiced up with battle drums with some electro beats.

Yeah that's kinda cool, instrumentally. I was waiting for yo voice over though. You know that VHS thing is the 4th most popular on my soundcloud out of 110, and still runs second for the month
Looks like the Europeans like it too (UK plays = US plays).
I like the rhythm stuff - what library is that ?
