Breaking Paradigms

Hi!

This song came by itself unexpectedly. I sat down and started to play like if I was possessed by a jazz muse fairy. I like, whenever possible, to forget absolutely every responsibility for a good bunch of hours and make music in full concentration, including the mastering if possible. I used nevertheless a couple of patterns I created a long time ago as a start for this song.

It really has an intense mood to it. I don’t usually love a song as much as I do with this one, I feel like being in front of a big supper jazz band playing for me live. I don’t know if you will like it as much as I do. It got my head and heart!

Hope you enjoy it as much, it was a great weekend indeed!

I quite like it, like most of your fusion stuff. Some of the brassy bits remind me of the Proteus inbuild demo, and I can imagine hearing some of it in the background of an Eddy Murphy 80's cop movie.

Must have taken a lot of work an arrangement like this. Well done. Good leads as well in places.

Thank you Dante  yeah, sort of Eddy Murphy’s cop stuff, he he… absolutely. I did it this past weekend but I was lucky that I found what I wanted to do in every step fast enough, otherwise it would have taken me several days, that I don’t have. Musicians are a crazy bunch of people; we can make lots of efforts to just hear something done by the end of the day. I cannot blame those who do not understand such a strong passion! :P
