Here is the album Acoustic Paradise I was talking about in the Autotune thread. I this album did quite a few years ago, I remember now it was in the mid of 2001. I had a Pentium III 550 by then , and of course, Pulsar Most synths used in these songs come from Pulsar being the most used the Inferno, I love its sound. Most music is played and not programmed as I never liked much the machine music concept, except for some sequences that you will clearly realize are played with a sequencer. This music is probably whatever else you may call it but Trance

It will be interesting to leasten to something that comes from almost 11 years ago already. I never posted the full songs here because there was a real possibility publishing it commercially back then with Sony, but they asked me to produce yet another album along with this one to what I answered “no”, because I was getting ready for my marriage so I didn’t have the head or the mood to get into yet another long project.

definitely not trance, but musical in its own way. Some felt kinda long... and wow, look at time, they are actually long. To be trance + Nestor, I think the trance part needs to be a bit more authentic. This sounds more like Nestor style + a bit of trance. I think house may be more akin to your native style. (but it's still easy to over do it and turn it into fusion with a 4x4 beat thrown on it) If you stand on fusion and lean towards funk, that should put you in the more musically complex jazzy deep house area, though the traditional start point is soul rather than fusion.

Wow..., remember my friend?, you said the exact same thing 11 years ago, I had a déjà vu magical moment now... seriously, you said that I should turn into house because it would suite me much better than trance.

What I really think now is that I have to go home… and stay … That is to say, completely forget about doing anything I don’t really like and vibrate with, that is my instinctive solution. It was a cool experience anyway I was learning how to use synths in a deeper way for the first time. I remember that my poor 550 Pentium III would perspire to handle those heavy tracks with only 384 or RAM, I had to bounce like crazy and even like that the system would eventually get stuck.

This music is for me today something to have fun with, a good memory to hold because I was getting to know my wife, but no more than that, I cannot take it seriously, it is an experiment and as an experiment was cool to do.

What is amazing is that 11 years have gone already… wow!

I have made several decisions already about life and music, ways of earning my living, etc., all these decisions have influenced how I finally understand and make music today. In those days of Acoustic Paradise I didn’t know a thing about Multimedia either, I remember that John posted a video of some graphical animated music and I was blown away by it, this is the video:

After that, I realized in this very instant, that Multimedia was made for me. The good thing about it is that my wife has become an excellent programmer, way better than me, because she's great solving problems and with mathematics.

Many people tell me when at home: “Hey, are you having fun?”, when they see me composing or playing, I tend to be a little bit bothered by this expression... well…, yes, of course I have fun when playing music, but music for me it is not only to have "fun", this is one of the many, many ingredients, and it is for me one of the more external ones. Music is something serious for me, that I use to search and find myself everyday a little more, it is a journey to my own real being which lies somewhere hidden in my soul. My music it is no longer composed with the aim of pleasing others, it must be, above all, real, and if it happens that it pleases people, I am very happy for it, but it is not my main aim.

Said that, I only want to do what I feel, so my music is not commercial at all, except for the Multimedia jobs I do which I am forbidden to publish here or in any other public way. Of course there I have to do something I don’t like sometimes, to please the client, but when it comes to composing music that comes from honest feelings, I do what I feel and nothing but what I feel. I don’t pretend to be famous neither rich, I couldn’t care less about those learned values that are not at all mine, they rather belong to commercial minds and superficial perceptions of art that are empty sometimes. What I want is to make music I am truly found of, even if nobody likes it or if it does not mean anything to anyone, music is for me an essential part of my own being, truthfully.
