Scope Drivers

Hi,

Just a quick query

I was looking for the drivers on my systems as I may install the 3 DSP card too. All I've found is the 2k driver in the Scope 4 folder.

As it is there are already 2 PCI cards installed so I do have the drivers but thought I'd ask here about it. Are the 2k drivers the ones that are needed? - and these install all PCI cards whether they are 3 DSP 6 DSP or 14 DSP....

All cards use the same driver. So if you already have cards installed in your system, just point the new card to the same driver as the other two cards are using.

yes, that's right. it's the 2k driver if you use v4.

What about version 5? - I've already got version 5 installed for the Scope Pro but I forget which driver I used........ :P ......talk about mental lapses...... is there a driver included in the version 5 for SFP?

v5 installs the driver during the software installation. there is a driver folder in the install files, but you'd need to unpack the installer. if you have software to do that, go ahead. otherwise, just run the installer.

the v5 driver does not work with v4 or earlier.

To be more specific my version is just version 5.xx before 5.1 - In other words the free upgrade. So what you wrote Gary about the installer being incorporated within SFP in some way is applicable to the "free version of 5"???

When Xite-1 arrives I can use the 5.1... :)

No it isn't a problem.... ......I have it installed on the Scope PC 4 U Rack - I'll put a pic on one day - It looks like one of the contraptions in robot wars......

I was just wandering how I got the driver installed in the first place - Recently I'm trying to be self sufficient as much as possible so I back up drivers etc..... on external hard drives so if I need to re-install I've got the base covered. When I checked the other day I could only find a driver from a backed up previous version SFP 4 where there are some folders in case I may need something in them like a driver and there was the 2k driver from the days of 3.1b which I still have.....

If I get stuck I'll ask -- thanks......
