SPDIF connection for VST system link Cubase

Hi,
I'm looking to get a system link with two pc's one of which is the mighty Scope Pro/Pulsar 2 and the other is a lowly but decent Edirol M16DX via coaxial SPDIF. This will be the first attempt when I get the cable I need! - Is it correct to assume that only one cable is needed from a digital out to a digital in on the two PC's depending on which is to be master/slave???
And this cable will carry a stereo signal also from one PC to the other in near perfect sync over system link??? - Naturally I'll read up on the Cubase manual too..... but some useful pointers might be helpful along the way.....

Check out how Marc did it. He used ADAT (both ways I think) but says SPDIF is possible as well.

Got the SPDIF (20m) cable delivered so will try this out ---- just one cable is needed isn't it?
Also will try MTC sync with MIDI cables (midi boxes) to get a long enough run and RCA phono -- will get back on this and hope no probs occur......

.......yeah right.....!!!

Not sure - Marc put a link to his email in that article though, so you can ask him maybe he knows.

I was trying to system link my Pulsar 2/Scope Pro with the Edirol M16DX but have not been successful. I've spoken with Roland who were helpful but need to hear back from one of their contacts to see if this is possible. If it isn't I'm re-arranging......

......
What I mean by that is I'll put the Pulsar 2 into another system with the Power Sampler and sytem link that with the Scope Pro system then I'm sure I'll get it to work but I need leads etc......for the Scope Pro card which is a big hassle but thats whats necessary.....
I can system link via SPDIF or ADAT but it does take up an ADAT port and I don't have too many of those and whilst I do I can't use the analog I/O of the ADATS so can these be expanded?

Question for Marc who dif the tutorial on System link - in your scope project there are two ADAT A source modules - the second one has ADAT A Source [2] beside it - how did you load a second one? I tried to do this and the option for ADAT source was ghosted as there was already one within the scope project -

There's only one ADAT-A source for each card. (Look in the hardware IO's menu: You must have 2 submenus with each a ADAT-A source). One is used for the VSt system link.
