a dell 2560x1600 monitor is $1000 and an apple one is even more.
this is the same 2560x1440 panel thats in the apple 27" cinema display. (and imac?)
sorry for the mess. rearranging for monitor!
$379 from korea with free shipping
(look up "catleap" on ebay.)
but. no warranty and no support, and possibility of dead pixels.
and the stand is really crap. no HDMI (dual link DVI only)
mine was in really good shape, no dead pixels. and it came in 4 days. the value was put at $30 do no customs duty either.
the picture is good, and it runs a lot cooler than just one of the 24" it replaced.
now i can fit my mixer on the screen and still see all the other crap!

kit seems whenever I get more screen area, it gets absorbed by larger and larger projects. I already have to scroll around the project window with my latest Modular Mixer project! I shouldn't complain, but having *that* much area...scares me
btw - does anyone run windows 7, and have a good virtual desktop manager? I'd like to just F1-F4 and jump between SCOPE Routing window, devices, and DAW. Suggestions? I tried the microsoft one "Desktops", but you can't move windows between desktops (sucks!), and in fact, it creates new desktops for each virtual one (new taskbar, background, etc). It's very lightweight itself, but not efficient for use.

have you tried windows pager, its lightweight, free, not part of something else, and works with multiple monitors

just right click on the window title bar or the icon on the top left to tell a it which desktop to be on.

That will be a happy LCD for the newest Mixing Theme in Reaper.
It's impressive looking and needs suck resolution I believe...

Just a thought, you might get a better stereo image if you place your speakers with the tweeters on the outside. See:

Good tip...and I've always found that taking the centrum of the tweeter/woofer, for each speaker, and then putting those points, and the middle of your head, all at the corners of a 6 foot isosceles triangle, you get the best mixing image that translates to most situations best.
