Wavelab?

I'm getting closer to getting an xite but I've seen here that there is an issue with wavelab. Why is it not working and what needs to be done to fix it and is it going to happen (I won't ask when, in fear of somebody whipping out the "s" word)? Also if anybody here is using sound forge pro 10, how is it?

Are you going to run Scope XITE on a 32 bit or a 64 bit system ?

The non working of Wavelab and SC5.1 64bit has been driving me nuts since I moved to Win7 6 months ago. There appears to be a stalemate between SC and Steinberg and no resolution to the problem in sight sadly.
Wavelab7 (32 or 64bit makes no difference) will not even open if Scope is installed. There are workarounds so you can get it limping along with the SC wave drivers.
I tried installing wavelab 6 and at least that does open but if you select the SC ASIO driver you get an error 'no Scope PCI hardware found'. However I can select the ASIO driver for my ancient M-Audio A2496 soundcard and go out of the SPDIF and back into Scope SPDIF which at least means I can work with it again.
Will it be fixed in Scope V6??

In my point of view this is totaly unexcepted. Steinbergs Wavelab has been on the market for a long time and Sonic Core want 129 EUR for
a upgrade from v 5.0 to v 5.1(64 bit).
I really can´t understand why this 64 bit driver isn´t tested enough . IF WE PAY EXTRA FOR THE 64 bit driver it should work OK with the
most common DAW´s and prog like Wavelab.
This piss me of really. I´ve been working with this scope card for (like many of us) a long time.
But I really appreciate the info on this issue, it makes my choice easier . Its time to abandon these card for something else that works.
For me this is very simple, If you pay so much money for these cards an software it surtenly should work .
I´m glad that I haven´t spent all the money on an xite with this kind of issue.

Excuse me guys ! I´m just very upset :-)

because it's NOT the driver.

the driver works with all the other apps. ASIO is a protocol, it works or it doesn't.

Wavelab never worked very efficient w/ ASIO !
I know that since Wavelab v3 and later v4.

I stopped upgrading.
Meanwhile I completely stopped using Steini sequencer AND Wavelab.
In 2003, former friend and Steini support guy advised me using Wavelab w/ WAVE driver instead using ASIO.
That was in 32Bit already.

No experience w/ 64Bit at all,- I don´t need it urgently.

I confirm S|C ASIO driver, 32Bit in my case, works very good w/ all my other hosts.
Lowest latency ever here.
Rules for PCI card and XITE-1.

Hi
and i´ve been working all the time with steiny software incl. wavelab.
I´m now on cubase 6.5.1 and wavelab 6 , together with windows 7 32 bit.
The good thing here is that I´m very satisfied with the stabilety and even wavelab
works as it should with ASIO .
That´s why I´m so frustraited when I read about the 64 bit issues.

Perfectly agree they should do something to solve the problem.
If nothing else, to keep up the name (or scope wavelab) to be.
bye

Does Soundforge 10 works well as editor instead of Wavelab?

Steinberg has ALREADY been sent a 3dsp card for testing.

they can fix the wavelab issue if they wish to.
