Hi guys, I just got a Pulsar, and so far I think its great. I just have one quick question, what is the best way to lift a sample off of a cd, since the pulsar does not have a direct line from the cd player. Is there a good program for this? Sorry, If I seem new to the sampling game, its because I am. I have been a jazz musician for the last 20 years, and I'm trying to expand my horizons, especially with the advent of HD riscording becomming os affordable. Thanks.

Subject: Re: Lifting samples of cd's
you should see your akai cd in pulsar file browser.
from there you can import the files with the copy-paste function in pulsar. pulsar imports akai programs and transform them in a windows compatibile files that can be loaded in samplers from HD.

Sorry, I meant audio cd's. I'm trying to take a sample off of an audio cd... I should have clarified that.

Subject: Ripping..
Just rip it using something like Goldwave (Free!)
or if u have wavelab i believe you can rip audio from there.
I'm sure there are countless other cd rippers available on the web.
Hope you find something good.
