Thanks .

We also want to know because we have one offer from Sonic Core on Xite-1 here.

Do you know if the A16 MK-II 32 channel AD/DA converter can be connected to DSP 14 in one computer maybe with the help of Xite 1.

They have both ADAT 16 so we must look for that also here to be connected with MADI

We dont want analog connection to HD-TDM .Its too many cables.

Is the Creamware DSP 15 with version 4,0 needed to be upgraded,
when having two DSP 14/15 with the 5,1 version.
Do we need to update the keyfile for putting in one third card,
thats been working on the 4,0 version.

you only need one card with 5.1, you can connect whatever soniccore card and use the plugins on any card, as long as one of the cards is a 5.1

sorry, but this is just plain wrong.
If you run 5.1 you also need version 5 keys for the plugins that were registered under version 4 on the 'other' card.
The key file format ist different, none of my old keys are accepted in that scenario (6 DSP with 5.1, 4 DSP with 4.x).
I assume one can request the keyfile free of charge, tho (no deactivation needed as in sales of individual plugins)

cheers, Tom

maybe i misunderstood the question :)
But yes - it is true that if you have a specific synth, located on a version 4 card, that does NOT come with the soniccore package, you need a new key - but i would assume that you could get that for free.
But if you are asking if you need version 5.1 keys to all 4 cards to run the soniccore 5.1 platform and its included synths/effects etc, then you dont.. you just need ONE card with 5.1, not 4 5.1 licenses.

:)

yes, I referred to the ...use the plugins on any card... bit.
as I have some specific stuff registered on the old card, I originally assumed it would open in 5.1, too.
learning by doing :D

cheers, Tom

This is Ralf Dressels answere from Sonic Core.
STDM, no more keys are needed.

Ralf
Thanks for info though, I will see if there is any plugins on the two older cards Power Pulsar 15 DSP,
that we bought here now, to have 45 DSP and that we want.
For sure I want the old Multi also.
