Scope 5 Software

Hi,

I've been struggling to get the MIDI control going for the STM2448 mixer - Most of the time it's because I'm not doing something right...

I'm currently using the M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 and have successfully hooked it up to some of the sequencer controls in Orion which is one of the apps I really like..... :D

Because I'm new to version 5 of SFP I went on the Sonic Core website to see if there was a newer version of the software just in case there were bugs that were preventing me from controlling the STM2448 mixer as I just couldn't hook up any of the sofware controllers to the hardware M-Audio KSP 88.......

I found that there is a verison 5.1.2079 available which from what I've read on Sonic Core is a version that I'm required to pay for - Is this correct??? - I don't own Xite yet but do have a Scope Pro/Power Sampler and Pulsar 2 card not to mention an A16 Ultra..... .....I'll say anything for a free upgrade....

I've sent them an email via the link provided and a copy of my all key file so I should hear back off them in a day-or-two.....but in the meantime any feedback here would be welcome.......such as upgrade costs and whether or not there are/were any bugs in SFP 5 that wouldn't let me hook up the MIDI control or whether it was my stupidity that got in the way..... :D

Which ever it is there is a bit to talk about.......Thanks in advance....... :D

I use the STM 2448 and the KS88 currently for live work.
I have no problems assigning hardware knobs and faders to the 2448.

I have several KS88's since I got them for 300 USD each in a lot of 6 years back.
Good thing too as I always have a key go out after 1 1/2 years, and it's velocity is then no good. It triggers 127 constantly which sucks, but at least they still work.

Give me some specifics as I would be happy to help out.

yes, v5.1 is paid, which is how S|C is able to afford the writing of the 64bit driver, the debugging and the man hours to make everyone keyfiles(a huge job!) for a discontinued product that they most likely never made or sold. however, there's no reason to use v5.1 if you are on a 32bit system, so i wouldn't worry too much about it until you are ready(if ever) to go 64bit, or until a major revision is done.

Hi Xite1/4Live,

Thanks for the info and it is good to hear you have the Keystation Pro......

What I will do is start a thread in the learning / study forum and if we start from scratch I'll put in a few details and we can take it from there..... :D

I've started a thread in the Scope study area for this - It may be an idea if you could explain how you would do this as I will currently confuse the issue.
