Hi there,
Do any of you folks use Ableton Live 8 (recent version) with your scope hardware? - I'm sure you do!!!
Can anyone comment on the stability of Live 8? - Just need some accurate info here as I've read online there are issues with Live 8 but can't be sure what the situation is....

I have an XITE-1. The only time I've seen some instability is using Live in Multi-processor mode, SCOPE 5.0 and 5.1, AND XTC MODE. I get random crashes. Without XTC mode, only using SFP mode, I can use Live in multi-processor mode, and there is no instability. I can also use Live with no multi-processor support, and SCOPE in XTC mode. But I prefer SFP mode anyway. Together with that, I also use MAX4Live running a monome emulator for my launchpad (it requires internal network routing), without any problems.
Versions are: Live 8.2.3 Suite, with M4L 5.1.7, and SCOPE 5.1.

I use latest version of Live (sometimes) in SFP mode with no issues - and I've pushed it on some large projects.
However, I do NOT use tons of Live's native plugins because I have Scope

I too would use it in SFP mode..........
Thanks for the posts.....................

SFP should give you pretty low latency as well.
Have fun,

Live is pretty stable with the XITE in SFP mode, but there are a few things you should know:
- In Win7, Live should be run in Vista compatibility, or else, the floating plugin windows behave n a strange manner:
- Live is still a 32 bit app, and its memory management can play a few nasty tricks, like letting you save a project, but not reopen it (rare, and with workarounds, but can happen when projects use a lot of RAM);
- External MIDI clock is very unstable, and it isn't possible to sync to ASIO driver (ASIO SPP, to use with VDAT)
ATM I have Live 8.2.1 and Scope XITE 5.0 on Win 7 32.

No problems with XP that I know of (it's been a year since I upgraded)...
