I have really started using so many MIDI devices that I started using a MIDI Merger 8 module.
This works well but I now need to take this a step further.

I need an 8 x 1 MIDI Mixer.
It will need preset capability
Must be able to mute/solo and have this information storable by preset
Must be able to transform seperate MIDI streams and their channels
Small size if preferrable

I have money and don't expect a freebie.
Scope 4 SDK will work for simple devices like this.

8 x 1 means 8 in 1 out i guess;

Transpose would be for pitch, and transform would be
channel 1-16 MIDI to the choice of 1 -16, a channel changer.
Actually I can do everything I need already with the
current devices, but it takes up too much of the project
window. A blank shell of 8 x 1 where I could maybe use
my devices as inserts into a shell for a cleaner, easier to
understand enviroment.
I am thinking of automating another show where the
XITE-1 and a laptop can be used, and as it is now some
engineer trying to understand or operate a project is sure
to be confused..

Since I already have the devices to do this, perhaps a shell
that can have the devices and Modular patches inserted into
slots maybe...?

Here's the need for this device.

All MIDI devices that have moving faders are updating themselves during a preset change.
This is OK for most folks, but I use Sync'd Oscillators for realtime timbre change. This means there's a controller moving the Oscillators pitch parameter. In Sync'd mode, the pitch is actually a timbre change which is not affecting the pitch. But when I switch over to a preset where the Oscillators are not Sync'd, and require exact positions for pitch, the problem of continuos MIDI data screws this up.

A hardware example...........
On my KS88 I have a mute all controllers function that allows to change presets, and all CC's except Program Chnage are frozen/muted. This ensures no jumps in the software until that paticular fader, knob or button is touched again.

I need a way to mute the outputs of the Scope MIDI devices while doing a MIDI Program Change message. Without this, the Modular patches and SpaceF's CC2x2 devices faders are still sending data, which will screw up the tunings on any synth preset that needs fixed Oscillators, instead of Sync'd.

The device I require needs to have such ability w/ mutes that activate during a program change for certain set msec.
This keeps from having jumps in the software.

Sure I could just use a sequencer like everyone else, but I prefer improvisation and realtime over defined, static predictable conformities.

Transposition of pitch can be handled on the recieving end of the MIDI data stream. Channel TRANSFORMATION needs to be at the device level, i.e. the device I am wishing for.
As well as this muting capability.

It is a realtime device that I need or I would just use Reaper and pretend I am playing the parts. I still love the realism of performing with players that look and listen, and can adapt to all changes by improvising.
To me, that is the music I prefer to play, and allows performers to grow as it requires the input of multiple brains.

The workaround I spoke of doesn't really work. It means I get live w/o it, but it limits the capabilities or performance and improvisation.

Hard to play Josef Zawinul to a click track where all MIDI data is thought out in advance and cannot be altered.

This is incredubly considerate of you, and yes it works 100% perfectly well,
as I followed the device driver information and Voila.
The size of the device, its looks, its function are all top shelf.
I also love the DAS GOST logo. Partnerships are important these days.

Here's how I use this and why it is crucial for live work.

Using MIDI CC's that are attached to continous fader moves is what I use
to have constantly controlled motions. Music without dynamics is boring,
and synths that remain inflexible and static cause me to yawn.

Below is the infamous patch by at0m called LFO2MIDI. I made the patch to
have 4 x ValMonitors that control different synth parameters. It responds
to program change messages just like the synth, so each synth preset can
have a Modualr preset as its automation.
If the synth preset doen't require motion, the Modualr Patch preset can
store its settings and the faders will be defaulted to not move.
Hence the original need for the CC Mute, which seems to have 900+ Msec
of muting.
This means I can have a preset where the 2nd Oscillator of the Prodyssey
can be Sync'd and that tuning then actually becomes a formiddable timbre
modulator, as pitch has been converted to timbre change. Unfortunately
simultanoeus Program Changee and Preset changes mean the fader will
move and still send CC data.
Your CC Mute allows Program Change only, then followed by automated
faders.......

In case somebody isn't sure why they might be running into trouble with
this below shows how a merging module should be used to merge signals
from the Modular Patch by at0m, where the CC automated faders are located.

yes thanx for the hint the manual is wrong_

it is about SR<<1 samples = about two times the samplerate = about 2sec;

and yes again the UI is only for placing our LOGO -> therefor no screensets or whatever are needed_

I have timed it on a stop watch since I prefer the sound of Analog clocks ( phase coherency is imperfect ), and I get just under 1 second. So whatever the Digital ( phase coherent and 100% Nullification ) clock says is fine by me.

Your driver / F8 trick has also allowed plugs I stopped trying to use
become available again.
Your trick has hopefully been passed onto Ralf, Julian and Holger.
I could find replacements for the Limiter, and Channel Strip by using
Celmos X-Machine and the excellent DAS Gate.
But there are no replacements for the Master IT EQ and BX Digital V2......

as far as i know DAS plugs are already signed;

signed files only need to be opened application as admin;
