TRADE Neumann K47 capsule (rediaphragmed at Neuman Germany)
Hi this is a new capsule new diaphragms from Neumann Germany.
I am trading towards a Pulsar II card.
If the card will have many plugins I will give also a unique U47 replica bottle MADE ONLY for me (only 8-9 pieces were made with my logo mUse47 on it ! plus a spider holder all new unused !!
On ebay I have more than 150 transactions ALL 100% positive only so you can be assured that you will get exactly what I am offering :)

NOW the true question.
Who is needing a true Neumann capsule like a K47 ??

Well first someone who want to build a U47 replica (I can help with documentation , tube, capacitors, resistors, etc...)
Someone who wants to make a Behringer or Studio projects or other chinese sounding mic sound like Neumann !! Capsule is 95% of the sound of a microphone !!
So a tech could just put the K47 capsule instead of the chinese ones.
ONLY a tech should perform that because if you TOUCH the diaphragm 95% you will damage it !!!
Someone who has a M149 Neuman, Neumann U47, that wants to change capsule to a new one aftera all that years that maybe capsule already has gone bad...

Regards,
Dimitrios

ps: I am the developer of the free tubetaper device.

Dimitrios, what's inside the bottle ? Probably not a replica of the original circuit as you don't mention the PSU...

cheers, Tom

Hi,
Inside bottle is JUST the chinese capsule !
You can buid it to whatever you want.
I have though all components needed to make a U47 replica as I have one.
There is a power supply too that outputs around 180V more than the 105V needed.
But I have a tube stabilizer for 105V.
You need though a technician to make this work !
I have tubes, capacitors resistors, pcb (my production), etc...

Dimitrios

yeah, I've seen a pretty complete doc of the Mic on a German site - funny thing... the same dude once sold me a telefunken stereo from the sixties :D
I wouldn't attempt to clone the original Neumann... the tube is highly specific as is the transformer.
Behringer housings probably wouldn't work well either - I have a cheapo just to fiddle around and it is resonating like hell.
I'm kind of interested (and familiar with electronics), but to turn this into something useful seems quite demanding.
For somebody looking for a replacement it's probably a no-brainer ;)

cheers, Tom

Hi Astroman...
I have already build the prototype and it is working as my main (only?) vocal recording mic either for male or female dingers !
That is because it does not have much at high frequency and a great upfront mid energy so any vocal except for the nasal singers (needs eq there) are benefited by using this mic.
The bottle was manyfactured for me at my specifications like the length of the body which is unique to be as close to the original sound as possible.
Although I use a EF14 inside using lower heater voltage (the U47 magic secret) I have made great and BETTER success with EF42 tubes that are identical to EF14's only without the microphonics because they are the glass version !
I even have the most sacred impossible to find anywhere in the world EF42 tubes from Telefunken !!!
But Siemens are great too.
For output transfomrer I have a :same: sound U67 transfomrer from HAUFE !!
Wima capacitors and low noise high ohms resistors.
So while I have build one myself without qualifying as a technician at all I wonder if there is any technician that will not succeed in building this.
these bottles have a unique logo of mine mUse47.
I also have build pcb's professional type for most of the components used.
So I can supply all needed along with instructions for "my" U47 version with either Ef14 or EF42 tube.
The power supply is great but outputs around 180V. I have sourced and have stocked though tube stabilizer for 105V. so by just putting a tube stabilizer at the power supply you can get the 105v needed...
Aluminium case for all is included as also a spider holder.

Dimitrios
