Some blues for the theatre

Here's a piece from a show we're working on over here.

Gotta rein in some vocal sibilance, but heck, it's a demo :)

Double bass, pedal steel, semi-acoustic guitar, organ through Leslie, 50-year-old Premier kit, all recorded into Scope in my little room.

Way Cool..
I like the Leslie, Vibes, Slide Guitar and Tremolo Guitar combination os sounds.
What instruments are going into the Leslie...?
I seem to hear possibly Upper Drawbars/Vibes possibly a Rhodes.?

Cheers fellas - these musicians are, as i say, the best in the country, and fairly well regarded in the city :D

..or as the steel player said - "best musicians in the land at this price point" Ankyu.

Actually, the steel player has a couple of Grammies sitting on his mantlepiece from his band "Asleep at the Wheel"

Just the organ module (not sure which) going into a Leslie clone box (says "Ort" on the side) and no other instruments other than those mentioned.

I'm liking the pedal steel/ hammond combo - slippery stuff :)

Asleep At The Wheel was hitting the clubs in Atlanta years ago when I remember them.
They were a damn fine group.
Yepp.....The Pedal Steel in the right hands is just glorious.
Price Point is catchy..............

Way good demo indeed; and good music/performance.

I listened to something from you here years ago and I liked it very very much. It were made using a tweaked Flexor patch or something similar; I was not in the mood to post any comment at that time... Aren't you into synth things any longer?

You're right Cochise - haven't touched a synth for a while. Dunno why - go through phases i suppose.

Always been a traditional instrumentalist, but when i got my first scope system i suppose it kicked off a big synth learning time for me that subsided over the last few years. Must get back on the horse, pilgrim :)

Jim - the steel player uses a fender vibrolux amp, nice ol' thing, gets some beef. Got that and a d.i. through my little Mackie Onyx desk, some warp plate on a few things, stereo expander on leslie top, autopan on mono leslie bass, fat insert across the mix from Mr Mehdi T :)
