Was just wondering about the solaris synth.

Would getting the SCOPE software version be the same as the HARDWARE in terms of sound and what it can do etc?

What do people know?

I'm waiting on delivery of an xite-1.

Used to have a 3dsp luna and 9dsp pulsar, but my studio got broken into..(you could say the theft has done me a favour in the long run)

So you reckon they are slightly different. Thats what i was thinking.

Would be great if John Bowen noticed this thread and told us whats different.

Money is the draw back, so at this moment in time i think only the software version is an option for me.

Maybe in a year or so i could get the hardware version.

Maybe i should just send him an e-mail.

John has already given a lot information there and kindly answer user (or futur user) questions ...

Solaris on Xite is close to hardware version according to what John told me at NAMM.

Plus, there's the possibility of loading up multiple instances of the synth, so the possibilities get pretty ridiculous.
Plus, for similar price you get a lot more with Xite.

The only thing missing is the knobs, buttons, and keys

The only solution to solve that problem is to buy both !!!

I only had a very short experience with a HW Solaris prototype.
It's a complex machine, but really great to operate with the dedicated knobs.
For obvious reasons it's not self explaining within 10 minutes, but still pretty intuitive.
The only modern hardware synth I'd seriously consider to buy... if I only had a little more time...
