When I patch I usually have the envelopes ganged to faders, and especially the Wavetable selection needs a long throw fader, so standing a few feet away from my DAW is much faster, and easier than keeping my face pressed up against the LCD..........
I still say the KS88 is a piece of shit, but it's the best piece of shit for programming and MIDI CC controlling for Scope.
Since Roy made these I have used them for many chores.
I don't need to change anything in my projects. I just use the yellow taped sections of my controllers to display the MIDI CC numbers, and then each project can have a Modular patch that takes zero DSP, and can be the size of the entire LCD to disply which CC's go where for the various projects.
Recording and tracking, various live gigs and basic patching and preset creations.
Much faster and easily viewable from several feet away.
Here's one that serves as a MIDI Keyboard to play any external synth, or synth in the project window.
It also serves as a MIDI Monitor, and Audio VU Meter as well.
