Stereo field

I am not very satisfied with the stereo expander... As soon as I load it, the volume decreases. I'd like to know if a developer made a different stereo device... I made a search with its name but found nothing.
Maybe someone could recommend a nice one to me. As a free or not one.
I think an fx like that is very usefull in mastering... Hem... Isn't it ?
Thanks for any information !

If you do a Google search for stereo pan law and read a few of the articles it will explain why you "hear" a volume difference.
Some may even say 30%.....

This is not true. This is nothing about pan LAW. Few other devices in scope folder (can not remember name right now) not related with stereo field also have this behavior. I believe it has something to prevent clipping or something. In any way if this is indeed touching or affecting pan LAW (which seems ridiculous since pan LAW is ruled in mixer and that rule should NOT be affected outside mixer or in several other places) then it should have control for this.
I also don't like stereo expander in scope at all but with so many routing options inside scope you really don't need one. You can make plenty of "expander" in routing window.

So, why is it decreasing vol while the pan expander is at 0 value ? And even when you bypass it.
I think mpodrug is right and gave me ideas : I believe I can do something nice with Spacef microdelay... Or a modules which could delayed the right or left channel.

I use PsyQ and bx_digital to fatten up the stereo image and avoid phase issues...
If you use other techniques you might have to check mono compatibility.

Yep ! This VST device looks nice, I'd like the same for Scope...
As someone indicates the brainworx devices, this simple one seems to do what I'd like :

isn't it ?
Already ordered, anyway...
Thanks !

Before you go and buy the farm, check out some of these excellent freebies.
With XOver device you can insert a Stereo Xpander in the lower left slot send your highs left lows to the right. This isn't what you are lokking for but it shows you how to manipulate frequencies.
Then there's the mono to stereo, and 4 mono to 4 stereo devices.
Roys stereo width module in case you are wanting the effect stored inside a Modular patch.
The stereoke Modular Patch is also decent and a good way to learn how to make your own.
The Phase Fix devices are great for stereo width experiments.
See which one works best for you.
I use all of these but I have never tried the ASG device yet. Now I have a reason.
I use Celmos Stereo XO device on my B2003 to seperate the frequencies, then process them in a Modular patch with Tube 12AX7 and Limiters then combine them in 4 x Mono channels.

Thanks a lot for those nice devices ! I already knew the phasefix, very good... After reading the bx_control manual, the device looks exactly what I'd like to do and even more... And it's chrismas for myself also...

Thanks for these advices. It looks better for me to experiment in Scope rather than using VST plugs because I mix in scope.
And bx surely propose some excellent tools with their m/s devices.

if you notice that a normal far left and right pan turns mono ish after u use bx left right stereo spreading, , i was told its because of the mono maker, , ..try a far left pan, and a far right pan of any two mono files, then add the bx or dynpara or master it eq on master bus and it will bring the far left or right field more into the centre when you solo the track from your daw. this should n't happen

Waiting the end of S|C holidays since thursday to get the key ! I thought they were all hard working to release 64bit scope ! Maybe they are, thus don't check their mails...
Now, I believe they all are in their families untill next year ! Not one of them to guard the house and answer to poor scope users who need keys !_____________

dann wird der wunsch von den developern ueberlesen und/oder ignoriert, und dann gibts kein neues device. was dann die polizei genau macht, weiss ich allerdings nicht. so, aetsch.
