MOD SERIES A:SS 1: Pike Soundshaper (birthday gift)

okay here comes the missing birthday gift.

one of my A SERIES modules: a soundshaper that can transform a waveform depending on amplitude spots.... once a wave surpasses a certain level, it gets a boost up or lowering in level.

Because of its point raising/lowering structure, its called pike.

The distortion is adding overtownes and makes a wavesform richer in sound. Best used behind oscialltor and before filter. But as you know: trying new things does always give new results.

best regards from the still-in-background-but-more-silent hifiboom.

ah yeah whats still misiing is modulation inputs for the shaping control.

description:

G1-G5: Gain control for the positive(+) AND negative(-) wave part
Pol +/-: control for the positive and negative output of the wave. so you can lower the positive and negative part of the wave at output stage.

Yeah this is a very colorful effect.
It totally destroys the Waveforms too.
I used 2 as a Modular Effect device and gave each Oscillator output it's own WaveView by our genius friend in Vienna from G.O.S.T. and you can see the destructive things it can do.
I can actually get clean types of wave manipulation too but it really cuts down on the db's.
Here's a destructive snippett where each Input is sent a combination of Square, Pulse and Saw.
The left channel I extended the peaks, but on the right is where the action is as the destruction of the waveform is quite evident.
I tried to match my right channels waves to look like your Black & White example and it came pretty close.....

Excellent, thanks!

Questions:
1.) Whose birthday? If yours, happy birthday!
2.) What's next in series A?
3.) JAV where did you get that WaveView module?

Ben

great module hifi!
please please add some mod inputs, so we can excessively tweak this gem.
Ben, do you mean this
(...)gave each Oscillator output it's own WaveView by our genius friend in Vienna from G.O.S.T. and you can see the destructive things it can do
maybe it’s no module at all? never seen it so far.
oh,and happy birthday hifi from my side too!

Thanks HiFi 8)

This looks really interesting ...as does the other module (waiting in the wings?) at the left of your screenshot :o

Thanks Hifi, Soundshaper looks very interesting, and its always great fun trying out your excellent devices and modules, so cheers for that and really good to see that you are back at the SDK again. :)

And yes, that Waveview module looks cool from G.O.S.T. too, but there seems to be no download for that anywhere. Will just have to wait I guess :)
