XTCproject.pro doesn't work under Scope5

I installed Scope5 and the XTC hacks as described in the XTC forum and I could sucessfully start Cubase. Then I started modifying the XTC.pro file according to my needs. That was OK in Scope mode - Cubase worked smooth in that constellation. When I then tried to start Cubase in XTC mode I got the error message "The file you have attempted to load contains a configuration which does not match your hardware configuration", Cubase started up but the Scope cards didn't work. After that I got the same message in Scope while trying to loadand after loading I do not see anything in the routing window. Nevertheless, all devices still seem to be there although I don't see anything in the routing window.

I already reinstalled Cope 5 and Scope 4.5, which is now also irritated in that sense, and tried to start the whole process from the scatch - it did not help. Does someone have a suggestion what I have to do now in order to get XTC mode working again?

I started this discussion already at the wrong place but I htink here it is better placed.

the error message is not important.
click ok, and then remove the hardware i/o modules from the project and replace them with the ones from your card. configure as needed. save. it should work.

remember, you need to change the xtcproject.pro, NOT the xtc.pro.

That sounds to good to be true. I will try that immediately tonight when I'm back at home. Nevertheless, could you explain why I have to modify the XTCproject.pro file while the reference in the cset.ini (if I remember right) directs to the XTC.pro file?

Thanks

:lol: 'cause that's how it works.

if you have messed up the xtc.pro, things may not work properly...

So, I reinstalled and loaded xtcproject.pro in a minimum configuration. Then I modified the cset.ini and activated the xtc mode. While starting Cubase i got a PCI-Master-OVERFLOW error and nothing worked in Cubase. In xtc-mode the same project worked absolutely correct. Strange enough, in the xtcproject.pro nothing is shown in the routing window while the loaded modules appear correctly in the sidebar.

I have a Pulase2 and a Pulsar1. Can someone please tellme how I can set the Pulsar2 to Master to get rid of the PCI-MASTER-OVERFLOW error? Didint have it before turning to Scope5

sounds like something is really wrong!

If i were you, i would install 5.0 again, and modify my xtcproject.pro along with the cset.ini again.

It works here with 3 scope cards on scope 5.0

good luck!

Thats exactely what I did yesterday. After modification of xtcproject.pro I could start Cubase into xtc mode but the PCI MASTER OVERFLOW error appeared. I will try tonight to change the priority of the boars becaus eeventually the Pulsar I board ist the master and causes the problem. If this isn't it then I have no further ideas. Any suggestions? Maybe I have to get back to Scope4 and wait an wait and wait .....

Got it working now. I had to change the Master board in cset.ini as follows:

[board0]
boardid=1
[board1]
boardid=0
[Host-Config]
Numboards=2
Board0=Host

Now my PulsarII ist the Master and the Ocerflow error is gone. Thanks for the help and assistance.
