Second - card - reg - devices with updated scope 5 card?

Is it possible to run devices registrated to another card which is in the same system with an updated scope 5 card?

How can I (can I?) import that 'old' registration codes?

i might be missing something here, but what you want to do is to send scope.rgy from your 4.5 SYSTEM to SC. that includes all registry for all of your cards in your setup as it is automatically generated from ehatever dev you register to whatever card in your setup...

if the situation is that you have done that, then add an additional card, i guess it will work as it always did; your new card is a "dsp slave" to your original card and wil load whatever your "master" tolerates.

Sadly this is not the case. With V5 I lost all devices registred not to the card I updated... And yes, I send them the whole file with ALL devices registrated.

:-(

Back to 4.5, I won't move registrations from one to another card.

thats weird... i sent them the .rgy file from my scope 4.5 folder, containing the devs regged to both cards, and got a file back with serials for all devs...

I admit Xor was the only dev on my secondary card (an XTC). I cant see that i have gotten keys for Scope 5 on the XTC, just Xor.

kylie said on another thread that he attached the file in a separate mail for each card.

So I hope that was just a sytem error. I'll send them the allkeys file which ralf once send me now, but hm, is that with timeworks (eqs etc.) registrations?! Ah, and try to send each file seperated... We'll see.

Hm. No timeworks keys in the allkeys-file. I inserted them manually. The bot found corrupted data in last post, so I bet, that's the case because of the timeworks - registrations.
Anybody received keys for the old timeworks - bundle?

Hi MCCY,

Yes I have received the following timeworks bundle devices in my Scope.v5 keyfile, although I haven't actually tried running them yet. I have gone back to Scope 4.5 at the moment, but will be trying Scope 5 again later when I have more time.

ST Compressor X
ST Mastering Compressor
ST Vintage EQ
ST Sharc One
ST 4080L
ST A/P100

I would email Ralf and ask him about it as it does seem like something has got messed up somewhere

Cheers

Tim

I attached my current Scope.rgy from 4.5 to "register at soniccore.de". The automated reply with my v5.0 keyfile was returned a day later. It had all my devices from three boards, including the ST bundle devices and A100/P100.

yes, but these were cards that had 4.5 bound to them. I did not include the cards with 4.0 or older. maybe that was a mistake, but then, I have no plugins registered to the other cards that don't have keys on the 5.0 enabled cards anyway, so I saw no problem here. I intend to get rid of most of the other cards anyway, so it wasn't worth the effort.
and the only plugin I have nowhere else but on a 4.0 card is TripleXP, which is separate software, and thus neither needs 5.0 keys nor runs in a 5.0 environment.

maybe it's just safe for martin to resend his keyfile containing all his cards, to get the 5.0-style keys for the additional plugins.

Same here. For key transfer & v5 all at the same time, Ralf told me to anyway send my key file to the v5 registration address first and then to proceed with him to the key transfer.
... Still waiting for the second part of it (after Systeminfo.mdl).

One question by the way: when you need to do the systeminfo.mdl stuff, can somebody confirm that it is the ancient card that needs to be installed for the hardware key to copy and send? Because I am not sure to correctly translate the procedure that has been given to me by Ralf?

Thanks in advance,

A+

What the hell is the systeminfo.mdl? Never used it. i think you're overcomplicating a very simple process. Yes there are some issues (like missing Vinco DT key etc.) but most of it is there.

This is what should be happening:

Find your Scope.rgy file in Scope_4_5\App\Bin
Send it to the registering email address previously given
Receive new all keys file
Import all keys file when installing Scope 5

That's it.

That's it
You're right... If you don't want keys to be transferred nearly at the same time.
... So yes: if you don't need any key transfers to be done, you just have to send you current keyfile to the reg address and everything should be fine.
If not, just send a quick mail to the Key Master and wait for his answers. They are under heavy load at the moment, so be patient...
