I invite all of you to listen to my latest trance tune at http://www.soundclick.com/chisel316.

It's called 80s Joy Ride (chisel316 mix). My friend, SurfaceX, sent me the guitar track from his song 80s Joy Ride and I wrote a trance song around it. It was a lot of fun composing a song around a guitar riff. I used Ableton Live 7 in XTC mode. Although I didn't use any Scope synths, I did all of the summing in Scope. I also used Optimaster on the master track.

Unfortunately I can only download mp3's then transfer them to my DAW......

You have a good ear! The pad is actually a synth layered with a string patch from my XV-5080. I don't remember the exact sound off the top of my head, but I remember using a string ensemble to fill out the sound.

Superb track. Sadly my DAW isn't online so I had to listen to it on my online pc speakers.
I'm like Jimmy - prefer an MP3 to download & transfer.
Mind you, I could stream it into Wavelab and then transfer it.............

Must have a listen to your other trax.
