HI all
I am only new to the scope platform so if this has been answered before please forgive me
I have been trying to download scope version 4 but last night the connection to the server timed out and the download failed...so I tried again today..the first time I only got a file of about 100 mb...the second time 16 mb....what is going on?
do I need to disconnect from the internet and get a new ip address?...is this whats happenning
any thoughts

I just tried disconnecting from the net and reconnecting ..so I have a new ip address...but still got the same thing...this time I got about 30 mb of a file..
please someone help if they can????

your computer is losing contact with the server and then your file is screwed.

try using a download manager. you can get one for free, but they'll likely want to give you some ads for the service. you can always disable the automatic functions of the download manager(in it's settings) so the you'll have the normal windows behavior when you don't need it, saving you the spam potential. the advantage of a download manger is that it will speed up the download and it will usually allow an interupted download to resume. one such manager is DAP(which has worked fine for me), but perhaps someone knows a better one.

So I have started to install version 4...but it wants a serial no for Scope platform 4.0
where do I find that?

you need to write to S/C support and give them your card's serial number and your name, address, email, etc and request v4.0 keys. if you want the v4.5 or the soon-to-come v5.0 package, you need to pay a fee. the v4.5 upgrade makes v5.0 free and adds a number of good plugins for most people depending on what card(s) they have...
