after installation of my wacom pen tablet on the computer with the matrox g400dh dualhead card i had to learn that i´m only able to use the first half of the extended desktop, the left screen.
can anybody tell me how to solve this problem, or do i have to buy a second tablet? (although it´s not said that this will work...)
thanks for any useful comment,
Mo

Mine work perfectly on both screen at same time. In Mouse mode or Pen mode.
Do you have the same resolution on both screen?

This isn't advice really, just another question: How do you like the Wacom tablet with Pulsar? It seems like it could be really cool -- better than the mouse in your opinion?

no, i have 1024x768 on the left, and 800x600 on the right one... you mean it will work, if i make the same resolution on both screens?
it works in mouse mode (of course, thank you for the tip), but not in pen mode. maybe because of the different resolutions?
i´ll try with the left screen at 800x600, thanks. i´ll report soon

@subhuman: if you get a big one (bigger than mine, A5 or more), it might completely replyce the mouse, the working feel is wonderful, especially when draggin things in pulsar and such.
but a small one (A6) has a too small resolution, so i have to make the really precise things with the mouse.

oh, it just has been my own dumbness... (i can´t expect to get full functionality with a three-year-old driver, can i? no.)
updated today, and now everything works fine, even with different resolutions (that´s strange. before it worked i wondered, if the smaller resolution is interpolated, because i couldn´t imagine that they would leave some of the place on the tablet unused - but it is just like that...)
what a wonderful feeling it is to have got rid of the mouse, which i needed before this to get access to the right part of the desktop... i´m free now...
pulsar & wacom is a great team, boys! and using a dualscreen workstation with a wacom tablet is a dream...
i just have to make one additional partition for the grafx-stuff, because i took the tablet from my pc... and photoshop is a torture with a mouse, if you know it with the wacom...

Good to hear that you got it to work Mo, just answer the same question from you in the other thread.
And your right, Pulsar + Logic + Wacom is great... You really work in Pen mode? I got tired of it after a while too much movement to reach both screen, but I use Pen mode in Photoshop cuz it's really made for that. And A4 is BIG!

BTW, I'm now a Pulsar Geek? Am I?

yes, in pen mode this little tablet feels much more comfortable, might be the opposite of bigger tablets like yours (mine is A6...).
and it was really just the old driver, which didn´t know the dualhead option... mea culpa.
and yes, now you are member of the innercircle of wisdom and knowledge...

hehehe... and 102 posts further on you will get as obsessed as we are, totally obsessed...

hey, the last months i was here very often, spending a lot of time in here, that i better had spent on making music. that´s the 'obsessed'

i also have moved with my homestudio (out of the dark cellar, up into the lit-up living-room beneath the roof), so now i´ll make more music again...
have fun!
