You guys that are already using the 5000, what do you think of it? Easy to work with? Does it have any integration with SW like Cubase at all? CPU load?

STS5k is pretty cool - good update to sts4
The new filters are nice to have, one for every occasion, get some more movement into the samples, but still don't seem to go quite far enough on their own for really bent effects - that's probably a good thing though as if they were that nasty they'd be dsp heavy and they seem quite light. I like them, very musical filters, and you can always send to an iout and process independantly if need be.
I can't tell you exactly how it compares to the other samplers dsp wise cause i haven't been paying much attention, but it seems to be pretty close to the others in terms of dsp usage
pitch/formant/time shifting seems to be not TOO heavy as well as long as you use it intelligently (and don't smear it all over the mix cause you shouldn't need it for everything). I haven't had any problems using many different pitch/time/formant effects (as well as dry) all on a single program with a bunch of percussive samples.
All in all i think sts5k is very funky.
