(using sonar) does fast export is cause jetter or any error?

using the fast export, you can't use external effects, synths and sources, which is what Scope is to Sonar.

after doing the mix by sfp i got a 2 track right. now sonar has a option of fast export or real time export(untick fast export) and i want to know does it increase jitter by fast export.

once your mix is done and its your final mix fast export would be the same as realtime. but faster

otherwise every time you open a file in sound forge or something, then edit it, you would have to save in real time.

we all use sfp for mix and its real time. and we got a stereo track . now sonor has this option (i don't know if cubase has this or not) fast export. slow export is like too slow take too much time... anyway do you know what the difference between this 2 options? does fast export isn't good or what do you do?

fast export is calculated off-line. Cubase does this too.

Scope CANNOT be in off-line calculations, it's external to Sonar.

I'll attempt to explain.

You CANNOT use this method when using scope.
You have to mix down in real time.(press play and rec the mix as you hear it, like you would if you were rec on a dat, tape, 1/4 inch etc....).

Forget about fast export altogether when using sfp.

I use to use this in Cubase before I bought Sfp.
Mixing in real time using SFP sounds soo much better.

Maybe I got you all wrong.

Are you saying after you've done the mixdown back in to sonar,
you want to export the 2 channel mixdown??

can you explain ?

think of it like this:
if you only use vst plugins in a project and mixdown, then you can mixdown offline/faster than realtime ( realitme would be the entire song length , for instance 3minutes and 12 seconds..)
imagine the cpu doing this: OK, i'll switch off everything and concentrate all of my powers on mixing down.. this means that i can do it 10 times faster than normal..=this is offline mixing!

the other scenario is if you use scope plugins.
Scope plugins run on the sharc processors, and not the pc cpu.
so if the cpu says.. "hey, i'll mixdown 10 times faster!" and you feed that signal into your sharc processors, the you get junk!..you cant mixdown faster than realtime because the signal has to go out from your host (cubase, logic etc) and into the sharc processors, and back again.

think of it like this:
you have an external compressor and run a signal from a cd into the compressor and fast forward through the entire cd, then you get junk.
=it has to be done realtime!

so whenever using scope, mixdown realtime! ie, record the output of logic, cubase etc with cooledit/soundforge etc. or click the "realtime export" function when you are exporting ( if your cabase/logic etc supports it)

yes thats what im telling :lol after using sfp for 5 years i know its not possiable to export the whole song/project using sfp fx :lol

mannn... this turns to a different topic. i wanted to know whats the pros and cons of fast export. it saves time( if you want to export a hour of score of tv series) but what is the cons?
