1) I have 2 Pulsar 1 cards and have purchased a used pulsar 2 card (have not recieived it yet). Other than the 2 extra DSP's, are there any other hardware improvements in Pulsar 2?
2) what are the improvements/enhancements were made between scope 4.0 and 4.5? (still waiting for detalis on 5.0 of course)
Mark.

The good news is that by having a second generation card positioned in your computer's first slot, then cascading the older cards, you will be able to achieve lower latencies than before (usually down to 3-4ms).
i can't remember the differences between 4.0 and 4.5 - you got SBC thrown in and a bundle of your choice, the actual software is the same though. If you have 4.5 you will get 5.0 for free.

The 2nd generation hardware (Pulsar2) also has better PCi performance. Again, if the Pulsar 2 is set to be the master board, the other card will benefit.
And the 3rd generation hardware -- Scope Xite -- will have even better PCI (-E) performance than before!

This is good to know. I (hopefully) have a rev2 Project on the way, to add to an original Pulsar for a modest 10 DSP setup

1) First install the pulsar2
2) then add the pulsar 1
OR
1) install the pulsar2
2) sell the pulsar 1 at 1,5 € each
3) buy 2 scope pro at 10€ each after the X-ite release ..
4) ask all what you want to this 34 DSP beast !
Have fun !
