the most commonly questions about XITE-1

Hello,

i think, that are the most commonly questions about XITE-1.

Some answers below.

>> - Which plug-ins will be supplied with the XITE?

XITE-1 will contain the plugin-content of the current Scope
professional, incl.Mix'n Master pack2 and Synths'n Sampler pack2.
Moreover some brandnew devices ( dynamics, an awesome new EQ, surround reverb . . .
------------------------------------------------------------------------

>> - Will there be smaller/cheaper units available?

not yet
------------------------------------------------------------------------

>> - What (hardware) extensions are planned to be released for the XITE, if any?

There is the idea to come up later with I/O-extensions - 4x Z-Link or 4X
ADAT for example.
Those I/O-extensions will be connected to the XTDM-port of XITE-1.
Please notice, that those I/O-extensions don't replace the XITE-1. It's
just to extend the physical I/O's of the XITE-1 and will be an additional product.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

>> - Is May 2008 still the scheduled release date?

We have revised the chassis and the XITE-1 will look much better than
the prototype, that was shown at the frankfurt music fair.
Moreover the box will contain more I/O's ( 2xZ-Link and 2xADAT ).
That implies, that we have to reschedule the release around a few weeks.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

>> - Will Scope 5.0 bring many interesting novelties?

Yes, for sure. Some new devices, a very nice new look, Vista-support,
OSX-support.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

>> - How long will the 'introductory price' be available?

This has still to be decided.

All the best

cheers

Ralf, for the third time.

Will the software for X-CITE include any new automation or will it contain only the present 119 CC's system?

Yes or No. An answer would be appreciated.

Oh yeah - did you implement Open Sound Control (OSC) in Scope 5?

That would be so cool!!!

If you didn't, could you please comment on if it's something you will look into in the future?

Cheers!
Thomas :)

humm...8 month scope 5 is announced, 3 month since the X-ite first show...what does that means?

take care, probably when your product/update will be finally out, the newest Sound Blaster will probably be able to do the same things!

or maybe we will be saving our bucks for the first trip to Mars

Thanks so much, Ralf! Having Z-Link is going to be awesome because I really didn't know how Xite would fit into my current setup before. The I/O breakout is a great idea, too...that'll be good for a lot of people.

The feature list of Xite seems like it's now ready for prime time...I can't wait until I see it sitting in my studio!!

Hi moxi,

please stay patient . . maybe we can win the race against soundblaster :=)

We want to come up in a steady way with version 5 .
Moreover the users will get a much better box as it was announced before ! ! !

Such a good think takes it's time.

That's all very well, Ralf, but if the box, no matter how big, powerful or pretty it is, still has automation from the stone age then it's not much use to me.

I repeat,

Thanks for the info Ralph! Greatly appreciated! I have a question or two i hope you can answer. Where there bug fixes and additional features added to any older devices such as Modular 3 or the platform in general? Any fixes and features added for older stuff is my question.

And what, if any plans for ST-5000 sampler? More headroom? Updated features? Competitive featuresets?

Can't wait!
