SpaceF's Multi-Synth

Post by dawman »

I am an old school / uneducated synthesist, who only is capable of creating some really great presets, but hardly can understand anything other than my Oberheims, SE-1X, and synths I have owned in the past.

I have only made great sounds from dissecting presets from geniuses like Brotha' Man Decimator ( Benoist Guitton ) and others. But the sound I get is quite signature and unique. That is what I bring to the performances I do.

I don't know if any of you guys can look at this and imagine it's sound, but there is nothing else like it anywhere, that much I do know.

Pages and pages of parameters in the lower text field especially, that's where the Aux's, Modulation routings, targets, destinantions, etc.

I hope we have a Multi-Synth community here soon, or @ www.spacef-devices.com , where the sick gather.

I cannot possibly contribute anything to this awesome creation. All I can say is that this is like a giant Modular synth w/ 30 + choices of Oscillators.

I am beyond impressed. :o

This is definately the future.

I really don't need analog emulations like the Moog, ARP, etc.

I have added Multi Mode Oscillators and just love how many variations you can get with one combi.

Everyday more litlle add ons arrive and I can hardly keep up with them.

I can't even begin to describe the sounds that evolve and fly around my speakers right now. I routed one of the synths to my rotary cabinet and the others to my Barbettas, and I can only say this synth makes musical phrases so exciting. Just simple rhythmic licks can soound like I have a couple of DJ's tweaking your stuff for you, really hard core dance type of shit.

Thankfully Mehdi ubderstands my lack of knowledge and adds the little instructions in the lower text fields.

Very considerate.

This synth just does everything you ask of it, you just need to know how to speak to it.

Tau, I sure hope you buy this so I can ask you for help down the road. :D

Jimmy, I will buy it the day it comes out. I would do it before, but must wait for Mr. Mehdi to unleash this to the masses! You got a head start, but I hope to be sharing some tips and tricks with you soon!

One thing I agree with you is that there is no more need for emulations. Synth-wise, all I use from Scope is SpaceF, Bowen and Modulars - those are the ones that get me the new sounds I like and can also "do" the more classic stuff. I still have a soft spot for the prodissey and the U-Know007, but very rarely go to Minimax or any other. Six String was a big disappointment for me. Pro-Wave, Bi-Osc and LBH are my favourites and already have plenty of "modularity" to boot.

Besides, it's so cheap now to get the standard creamware sounds, with the klangs, ASX, "plugs from China", soon, everybody's doing it. I feel I owe it to my cards to aspire to new sonic possibilities. And Mehdi's devices have always blown me away - I mean it's one thing to build one synth, or one device, but this guy created a whole scope environment, with the exception of a dedicated reverb unit. Sometimes, all I have loaded in a project are SpaceF devices. This one will make it easier and faster to create and load multi-layered MIDI performances. I'm looking forward to it!

All the best,

Well when it rains, it's pours.

Solaris 5.0.6. just came in it's BETA form as well.

Good thing I have 12 days to play w/o interuption. :D

My usual FAT presets will be made but I believe the Monophonic quality of this synth will drastically change.

We can rule the world w/ Modular, Bowen, and SpaceF synths!!!

Multi-Synth Is My Shepard, That I Shall Want,
It Maketh Me Compose In Green Soundscapes,
It Leadeth Me Beside Fierce Analogs,
It Restoreths My Sound,
It Leadeth Me Towards The Future, For It's Name's Sake.

Yeah Though I Walk Through The Valley Of Weak VST's,
I Shall Fear No Emulations,
Mehdi's Crew And Staff, They Comfort Me,

They Preparest A Table Before Me In The Presence Of My Enemies,
They Anointest My Ears With Modulations, My DAW's Runneth Over,

Surely Fat Synths Shall Follow Me All The Days Of My Life,
And I Shall Dwell In The House Of SpaceF Forever.

There's nothing else like it.

A perfect compliment to Bowen Synth's, and Adern / Modular.

I bought Black Box II and saw Mehdi's talent for Echo / Delay's, Mixers, and all sorts of other stuff. I never knew where all of this stuff was as I had much of it in the wrong folders, or it was mono effects, etc.

But when I got FB5 made I started seeing all of this stuff and didn't know how deep this shit really was.

Sadly I never got the synths going as I have little patience for complications, and figured I already have certain polyphonic emulations made capable of Waldorf, Moog, Oberheim, and ARP stuff. So I overlooked BiOsc and just played w/ the stuff I originally bought BB2 for.

But with this synth, and all of these tripped out Oscillators, Filters, and superb mono and stereo devices, I am impressed.

This synth sounds like no other synth I ever played or heard. The presets immediately showed me that this is the Dream Beast for all of the stuff I lack the talent or knowledge in Modular to achieve. This to me is my pre built Multi Modular synth where I can just simply route modulation source and destinanations, swap out Oscillators and Filters, and there are vast amounts on hand.

Truly a must have synth. Especially for guys like me who don't trust the stability of Modular live, and have little patience or knowledge.

This synth is my new modular, and besides I can add all of the Adern stuff I want also.

THIS IS THE SORE DICK DEAL.

As usual the meger price for this makes one wonder if it's all that..............It is,..and then some.

For example, I just made an incredible Lead Guitar Solo layer w/ feedback, I have no idea how I did that, but simple tweaked these overdriven filters 36db !!, and and this distortion sounds like an old Vox distortion box maxxed out. Naturallyu I saved it so I can try to figure out how in the fuck this synth can sound better than my sampled guitar?

I'm outta here.......................
