Warp 69 Hall in SFP or how to use VST FX in SFP

Hi

While I was doing weird test with bidule I did the following:
In SFP:
Get a project with 2 ASIO IN and 2 ASIO OUT free
Insert an externalmasterFX device and connect its internal connections to ASIO INs and OUTs
connect its inputs to a synth (Minimax,...) and its outputs to your mixer
In bidule (or other VST hosts)
connect the related creamware ASIO IN and outs to your FX (in my case CSR Hall ;-))

Play!

cheers

Way Cool Brotha' Man Michel !!

You couldn't wait for the Scope version of the PCM91 Hall?

How do you like the VST version? Is it as good as his DSP products like the A100 / P100 / CD100 ?

I am waiting for a key from Sonictimeworks, just sent my string to Craig.

Please keep posting your tips on Bidule, your talks w/ Sebastien are really helpful, and your findings are really appreciated.

I dumped Forte for Bidule, and Cubase 4.1 for Reaper.

Seems like the cheaper less bloated products work better as far as those 4 app.'s are concerned.

Peace. :)

Hi Jimmy,

The VST version is good but lack some deepness compare to our DSP based version. I Think it come from the limited modulation capability of buffered based algo. Small buffer compasate a bit but a DSP version is still lacking ;-)

Hi stardust,

In VST, you buy 4 algos and plate is there too!

Jimmy, about bidule and reaper it is a no go for me currently. Bidule cannot cope with MP and reaper still lack basic functions on midi side and is not able to cope with low latency on my system.

I have a lot of expection for bidule yet!

cheers

Seb is working on an upgrade as we speak probably.

But GS4 will be hosting Bidule as a VSTi in my DAW. That way I can use Bidule to host K2 based instruments more efficiently.

Time will tell.

GS4 appears to be one hell of an app as the the ravings and emails from NAMM are astounding.

I hope John Bowen and Brotha' Man Carbon111 kick the crap out of all of the little plastic / toy synths that are on display at NAMM '08.

Solaris is the Phoenix of the Oberheim XPander, w/ keys, and 2.5 x times the polyphony.
