nah not yet, my business partners weren't convinced. However, I am saving up to get a Scope board. By the time i have enough money to get it, they might have a brand new board. LOL My partners decided on getting a MPC 2500 and a Korg M3. Man I cant wait to get my Scope Board. Its going to be my little secret weapon. Muahahaha!! Oh Sorry.

I actually just wanted to here some Hip-Hop through Scope, some hard hitting drums and maybe some samples. Just a little motivation. (Id even be willing to supply some sounds...If anyone is interested)

I am still twiddling my fingers, anticipating Scope in My Life. I even changed my Mouthwash to Scope, so everyday when i wake up to rinse, It reminds me of my mission. LOL

you don't need MPC 2500 or Korg M3. buy a scope professional board and you're on to your hip hop music.... + you'll get a synth pack and mastering pack for FREE :) and scope version 4.5 ( they will also update you to verison 5 if you bought before feb i guess)

Oh trust me Scope is my platform of choice, no doubt about that, the MPC and M3 are already bought and being used, not by me however, I'm still using the PC, i like having everything in one place with the option to always expand. SCOPE is mine, I got about (and don't laugh!) 60 bucks put up so far. Now i just need to do enough studio sessions for the remaining 1440.00 bucks!!! LOL

Damn bills slowed me down.

"producer" is not the word i would choose though :-)
http://www.myspace.com/spacebonobos (beware!!! myspace link :o :o :o )
made with different people at diffrent place all in scope with or without external stuff around. The big difference in sound "quality" reflects an evolution of taste and knowledge (and a change in speakers too :-) . The "Eye Water" remix is the only track that i mixed alone and so had the "director's cut" that other ppl had in other tracks. It is the one i like the most because it is not brickwall mastered. some ppl would notice this immediately and are actually disturbed just by this (!).
cheers

You don't have to start with a Professional card, you can start small and slowly expand till you have enough dsp power to match the Professional card and be enjoying Scope alot sooner. Several options are.

1. A new Project card $649 (buy used pulsar later for added power).
2. Used Project $250-$450.
3. Used pulsar 1 - $100- $250 (later combine with a used or new home card).
4. Home card - new or used (and expand later).

Alot can be done with only 6dsp's, and actually 3dsp's is faaar better then Native alone imo.Ymmv

that's true, but those prices are much lower than the current ones. a new Scope project is more like $850 and a used one brings $500-600, although they have been seen for less...

I thought about going that route as far as the smaller cards are concerned, but i need that SDK. I'm a "customize freak" and at times need special tools that i cant get elsewhere. Besides if I'm going to get the thing as my main studio centerpiece, I might as well go for the gusto and never look back.

For what its worth:

MPC 2500 New-$1999.00!! Good Sampler (imo)
Korg M3-$2499.00!!!! Nice All around board (imo)
Grand Total Cha-Ching: $4498.00 :o

Scope Pro-$1500.00!!!!!! :P   :) Whats that you say!!? Kicks both of those guys asses and then some. Of course!!!(imo)
Blissful Enjoyment-Priceless

Its funny cause in my very first post here on The Planet, I was considering the smaller cards(anxious i guess), but now I truly know that there is no other system for me, so ill just grab my loins, walk the beach and pray the journey isn't too long.

You are correct about the standard retail price being higher then what i quoted but i always find it for less cause theres usually a better price somewhere. Even the Professionals can be bought for $1385. It's usually just about searching. The standard prices i see for project is usually $799 but their often on sale for $599-$650.

I've also seen used cards go for much cheaper then you quoted. Yes there is a standard going rate but usually one can get much better deals threw patience and searching.

well, if audiomidi is actually selling cards for that price, you better buy em quick. that'd have to be old stock and limited. a dealer can't get them into the country much cheaper than that.
