I have enrolled myself into 2 film and broadcast classes that start tomorrow in the hopes of starting a small production company where I will be doing the filming, engineering, and recording.
I have Reaper and Cubase 4.0 up and running, but it seems as though Reaper just works hassle free for recording MIDI tracks, and audio w/o any issues.
Since Cubase 4.0 will not be needed can I upgrade to Nuendo 3.2 and use that as my A / V app until I become more sophisticated?
It looks like I will building a video DAW this year to work with my Scope / GS4 /VST DAW.

I slept after the NFL Playoffs yesterday.

PORN !!
I never said that, but how did you know?
The AVN awards are hosted here, and there are over 2 dozen locally owned Casinos and 16 cable TV shows.
The production quality is a joke.
I shall clean up the porn and locally produced shows by giving them a does of European synths and flare w/ Scope.
Actually I want to do documentaries that have been tossed back to post facilities to have music added to the voice overs.
Synth Porn does sound cool though.
Do a search for a local gal here named Minka. She is just one of many AVN girls that has talent, literally.

well, just in case you go for porn, check out
http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/by_genre/sexy.htm for some inspiration! "Beat at Cinecittà " is a pretty funky series of italian 60s/70s erotica-flick soundtracks, but there's lots of other funky tunes there as well, and lots of samples from the albums

I believe nuendo isn't performing as well as cubase does with quad core processors if memory serves correct. Probably read this in in the latest sound on sound. I would wait to see if this is sorted, as knowing Steinberg it >could< be fixed but wrapped in a major release tag.
Cubase would be good enough to start with I would have thought. You can import quicktime and sync. If you wanted to do it externally you can sync to mtc.

Actually at DAWBench forums there are several threads on Muendo and it's ability to use video with great ease.
They also speal of the lack of support for Cubase 4.0, the black sheep of Steinberg.
It will be a cheap way for me to get my feet wet.
