P100 or A100

Thinking of buying one of these - really looking for dense spacious sounds. Which is better for this. I have tried the demo but it cuts out too much to get a good feel for it.
Also didn't one of these come with a chorus effect too?

well, the P100 came with the CD100 Chorus Delay - if that's what you're after.
But honestly, take both P100 and A100 - your PCI bus may sweat a bit on the latter, but these are just incredible devices for the amount asked.
According to Warp69 the A100 isn't a 'typical' reverb, it's to give a sound some spacious environment, so to say.
It absolutely rules in the small room domain and you'll have a hard time to find any competition, if at all...

yes, I have only a PCI bandwidth of 5 Masterverbs due to generation one cards, but I never regretted any of these plugs.
cheers, Tom

I am lusting 4 the CD100, but warp69 enjoys watching me get feverish.
Those devices were modelled after the Lexicon PCM91 so finding a dense / spacious sound will be easy money.
It must be the best DSP reverb as there are nothing but happy people.

I have only two reasons to not have them; DSP reserves and having a Lexicon MPX1.
My projects mostly are heavy loaded, and the mpx does the long reverbs or the plates.
And there still is the masterverb pro, so I can wait.
Yet the A100 is always on top of my list, as I like most of my music parts mixed dry yet let the dry parts have some ambience, to glue it all together and let it shine.
It's a matter of time before tho that I will get myself a license.
Maybe there will be news about the suggested coming of the Hall soon, and a possible bundle price

Ah yes that's the one - does it still? - no mention of it on the site.

I recently bought both, and can confirm that the Chorus Delay still comes bundled with the P100. Great devices, all three of them, and VERY heavy on DSP. The A100 has an intriguing sound and the P100, while more "normal" is a very sweet plate - I'm sure you can find other alternatives to that one ( I kind of like hifiboom's RSPV free reverb:
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22376 ), but IMO the Chorus Delay is more worth the price for itself, let alone bundled with a reverb like that... It can sound very dense and moving... and fill a lot of space in a mix.
Even though it has its limitations, Scope has a lot of flavors for reverb - DAS RMX160A is another good one, and MCCY's SPRING is just brilliant! But with STW's, the problem is that you go "which one will I buy first? This one, that's more interesting and subtle, different, or this other one that's also nice and comes with a great Chorus Delay? Hummm..." And then, you always end up buying both anyway...
Cheers

i would be more inclined to buy if i thought development was happening, but they seem to have dropped Scope for now

Wow hadn't notice that - its rather fantastic. Not realistic spaces but very emotional sound which I like.
Wasn't impressed by the DAS one at all.
The Celmo Spring reverb is probably the best spring emulation I've come across - just bought his classic tape emu too - very Echoplexy.

it's not 'them', it's Warp69 - SonicTimeworks is only the distributer of his devices.
Afaik he made a post that he still developes all all his methods and algorithmic stuff in Scope, even if the result is eventually published as a native device (like his IK Multimedia Studio Reverb series).
cheers, Tom

He is currently developing something, or he wouldn't be getting on the Soniccore website.

@hubird how do you connect your mpx1? via spdif i guess.... does Mpx1 act as Master and sfp as slave?

P100, it's what you want. Hope it still comes with CD100, because in tandem they do "dense" and "spacious" like no other. A boiled egg deal - just can't beat it
A100 as described above does something else, but is essential in a Scope rig as well, i say.

No offence meant. I just meant it's not just adding space - it does add a lot of colour/character - but in a good way. I really like it.
