I'm willing to buy some plugs (yes, I want to be the winner of the white A16!!! ).
I'll be gad to hear your opinion upon DAS comps: which one you think is more suitable for drums compression. And how do you like SL9000?
I' m really interested in the SpaceF bundle of mixers and inserts too...
Ok, I'd buy everything if my budget would allow me but... so I really need an advice for making a good deal. The main criteria is versatility, because I know that everything sounds good
Another little question: is it possible to buy B2003 but not the entire Synth 'n' Sampler pack? I have no clue about that.

Well you say you want versatility, but in what areas? From what i can tell you are after effects more than synths? Or not necessarily?

Last things first - B2003 - the shop has just reopened so maybe they haven't got all the options up yet, you certainly use to be able to buy all the synths separately, perhaps try emailing Ralf at rb(at)soniccore.com and see what he says.

i can recommend all the space f stuff. BlackBox II comes with lots of synths, Echo35 (and amazing echo unit), SlapBack echo, Wax (wah unit), Dragon distortions, small mixers and lots more. If you don't want the synths you can get BlackBox II FX.

i also have the FAT Inserts which are great too. You can demo the mixers - i like the FB5 most and space f has just added a compressor which inserts into th mixer which i'm sure will sound great, but haven't bought it yet because i'm not sure where to spend my money either - i was thinking of getting DynaTube first to put my synths through - i think B2003 will sound great through this.

Well, I'm mostly after dynamics, since at the time I'm pretty happy with masterverb pro and the stock SFP mods.
Maybe I'll buy miself another good delay in the future, since SFP's Multitap isn't so versatile IMO.
But I'd like to enlarge my choose of dinamics processors at the moment (I like Vinco and the stock SFP comp, but I'm in search for something different).

I got them all, but I didn't consider Transient Designer ... the task is getting harder...

Yes, if you're into dynamics then definitely get this especially as Transient Designer is in the sale now.

There's a manual available to download, so you can read about it's cool features. At 49euro it seems like a bargain.

We got some very good comp options to choose from.

SL9000 is a good channel strip IF you like the overall sound of the plug so try it out. I do. Comp is pretty good and routing and tools make it a good buy.

Vinco. Excellent. I have all the UAD comps and this is right up there with most of them.

DAS LA2. Haven't got it, yet. I've demoed it as extensively as I can. DAS have made some good kit. This is one of their best. Just sounds great, especially on busses. Next week I'll fork out for it.

Wolfie's Kompressor. Hugely tweakable and not as easy to get what you want as quickly as you want but still a very, very good product. Well worth spending the time getting to know. Worth it for wallet, too.

Simon's SlimJim. This has features no other Scope comp has. Works good for loads of things from subtle to slamming. Very easy to get right sound quick. Love it.

Good time to buy with sales and all. All these comps do have their own sound and capabilities and are useful for different things, obviously. So demoing is a good idea.

Vote for DAS-1610 but for SPL Transient designer also. They are different tools so depending on need. 1610 can give you really nice touch and you can get some nice transient rounding with "opto" option.

SPL is in own class too...

Well seeing as they're free definitely not. Even if they were paid for it's a good suggestion. However, we are trying to help pistoguitar blow some cash for Christmas

Thanks! (may I ad, that for the tweakers there is a hidden panel acessible via rightclick - with thatone you may get some more tweaks & even some weired effects. I never can't really resist to leave at least the OPTION for tweaking.)
(+ don't forget, that JuAnCo/JuAnEx is an expander too (switchable with small buttons in the left upper corner) & we don't have many expanders especially with settable softknee around...)

I just wanted to ad another great compressor:

I used thisone a lot before I got vinco:
The d-compressor from d-mute (also a free one) which is also worth some €s in my humble opinion. It has a very easy to use-interface.

P.S. blowing money... I damn want to have Algorithmix, but I still hesitate with that price although knowing that theire worth every cent!!!! I'd say: Blow your money on Osiris & I bet you'll be very happy over christmas!!

I also tested the DAS compressors. They sound very good. I'd personally chose the DAS2A, I personally dislike the SL9000, but they're all very cheap for that little money!!!

first you need more than 6 dsp to run big plugs
i like the sound of BX, Kompressor, Optimaster, sfp mixer, delays. P100 Reverb.... btw how much money you want to spend?

Yeah, I've been thinking about Osiris for a while now, but there's just no way I can afford it in the near future. I wonder how it compares to the Algorithmix Sound Laundry suite of plugs? Sound Laundry is much less pricey, but then it's not for Scope, so I guess that's understandable from a certain point of view.

I've had a talk on the phone with the developer when Osiris was released for SFP, asking him almost the same question, as Algorithmix also has a couple of more expensive products...

It's significantly better than their budget line, but you don't get the multi-k Euro high-end packs either
I processed one of the example files (vinyl restoration) with the TripleDat version of Osiris. The DSP version performed better, but not dramatically.
Which is exactly what I was told before - he said the methods for clicks and crackle removal hadn't changed much over the years, but they made real progress in the hiss and noise domain.
