the intel boards are very efficient and stable as mentionned in many threads. I have owned both DP965LT (3 PCI) and D975XBX (2 PCI slots) with a 21 dsp and 27 dsp system without problems. Bios remains very simple (only a few options). Some are happy with the Gibabyte ones too.

you are welcome ! Just a piece of advice : avoid temptation when it comes to computer gear ... Just ask people what they have and if SEVERAL users tell you "that's ok", than go for it ... Many people talk about just evrything on the Net. Here, at planetz, we all use scope boards so just check the threads and you will see that the Intel move (intel chipset+intel mobo+intel proc) is very stable with scope ... hope it helps !

Jo

PS : remember you will need a big PSU, like 500/600w for intel boards too. As for ram i have tried Corsair and i now have SuperTalent 4 Go and they work perfectly ... 0 crash !

Intel DP965LT is rock solid.

There is a new one which works wirh faster quads and Core 2 Duo's it' the Intel DP35DP.
