Price to performance is pretty high. Not getting a whole lot more than you could build with a modular, but this is still a really accessible device with a really clean interface. The distortion an combination of effects makes for a consistently nice and useful, if not stellar tool.

phat philter! I especially like the pre-post filter distortion option! while it could probably be built with the modular, it would probably be heavier on the dsp. plus the interface is good on this one, and not all of us are that skilled at the modular. most importantly - it's only $30! now one of my most used devices in the FX dept. great value and excellent performance!

Well, I'm a Modular fiend & still use the hell out of the Z Filter, it's a fantastic idea machine & seems to do everything right. Much more than just a filter, that's for sure.
