Hi everyone,
here is a little distortion unit thats sounds more analog than the standard cw distortion.

hope you enjoy
check it on single channel (percussion, synth, 303)
make your sounds slightly more aggressive or even extreme aggressive.
f.e. use it on a kick to make it cut better through a mix.
Especially for electronic music styles.

It's good that you included the noise knob. On most Bowen synths the overdrive, and distortion doesn't really get cookin' till a little noise is added. Afterall it is what made the old pedals sound good way back when, transistors, old batteries, noise and distortion. Inna Gadda Da Vida Honey,..................wait a minute,...this is the cheezier version,.....................Eat A Gob Of Velveeta Honey,......ankyu.

thanks to you stardust.
your andromeda knob
makes me hot.
@Jimmy : noise is essential..... thats what I think too, its a bit of randomness in digital world, ....
which helps to avoid that static sound.
this device is by far not the final-solution in terms of distortion, but it may fit better in some cases than a standard clipper....
@ thanks to shroomz also for his nice gui elements, I won`t find the time to learn blender properly in the next weeks/months.
Time is limited, life is short.........

On a few organ patches on my old Ensoniq synth I layer a small amount of white noise or even vinyl crackle so that the distortion has something extra to chew on. After reading this thread, I've ahd a few ideas about getting a more analog sound out of my squeeky clean digital distortion effects and units. Planet Z is a wonderful place. Unlike other forums, people here genuinley want to help each other rather than show off about what they know.

Hi hifiboom,
i missed this one first time round, was having a little search and found this. However when i come to try it i cannot open the control surface by double-clicking or right clicking. Maybe it's appearing off-screen. Any chance you could look at it, i'd quite like to try it out?
Cheers,
Mr Arkadin.
