I am getting more and more confused by the apparent overlap of product offerings from both SonicCore and INDSP.

Both websites claim to represent the entire Creamware product line:

Which one is correct?

Does anybody know?

both own the rights to the technologies.
soniccore is supporting scope specifically.

And from which site can you actually purchase products online?

I must say the way it's presented is confusing. The way I see it is that InDSP owns and develops the underlying technology while SonicCore is responsible for "production, distribution and sales" of the resulting products. (at least the Scope line of products)

yes, you can only purchase through soniccore so the inDSP website is obviously just here for communication about the whole technology...

as i understand it:

Frank is with InDSP. he is the Creamware founder and the original idea man. he has the rights to intellectual property and can do whatever he wants(for the most part) with scope technology. his company is developing other ideas for the technology, for the most part.

Holger and Juergen are Soniccore. they were some of the main guys in the original programming team. they have the rights to the intellectual property and can do what they like(for the most part) with scope technology. they are mainly developing, selling and supporting scope cards and doing the solaris with John Bowen.

the companies have different directions and different business targets - actually a rather exotic case... but then... why not ?

There is no Dealer link on SonicCore either, but I see that the "shop" icon leads back to the old Creamware site so that you can still buy plug-ins.

I think it's a bit strange that the 'free plug-ins' link on the new SC site still goes to a commercial developer's site as it did on CW's site, instead of going to the device forum here on PlanetZ where most of the free devices made for Scope since the beginning are located. (no offense meant)

this was already the case back in the days CW was still alive. about the time the commercial developers came up with their first plugins, I think.

I assume you got there via the shop link from the SC site (which gets you back to the old content). I could not find any other reference to the 3rd party plugin list within the new pages...

I already sent ralf a note that time, but they were too busy, he told me. and I don't think the old content will be maintained any further.

just replace the company name with "freeplugs", and you're there.
